    My father is the man I respect most. Strict as he may be, however he never fails to show her care and consideration. Once I broke a neighbor window. Seeing nobody around, I ran away immediately. When Dad came home, he noticed my uneasiness and asked me what has happened. I could only tell him a truth. Instead of scold, he praised my honesty and then encouraged me to apologize our neighbor. Last fall, after a day of perfect weather, my brother and I decided to build a stick shelter and sleep outside. But it was a little of more challenging than we original thought. The biggest problem was finding sticks—they are either too wet nor too short. So we used our tent poles. An hour late, it was finished. They looked great on the outside and quite comfortable on the inside. Just when we were ready for a comfortable night of sleep, it started to rain. But we were preparing. We brought our rain jackets, that kept us dry and allowed us to fall sleep comfortably. It didn't turn out perfect, but we had great time in our shelter.

    Apologizing can be harder than realizing you've acted poor. To truly apologize to a friend, you had to be sincere and let your friend to know how much he means to you. It's easy said than done. But if you swallow your pride and show some sincere regret, they will have a true apology ready. Besides, sending gifts can be good choice for you to make. And if you do this kind of thing instead of talk to your friend face to face, you're just hiding behind gifts. After all, gifts cannot say word like "I'm sorry".     Believe it or not, there is no such a thing as standard English. Many people think the English speaking on TV and the radio is standard English. This is why in the very early days of radio, those reporting the news expected to speak excellent English. When people use words and expressions different in the "standard language", it is called a dialect. Geography also plays a part in make dialects. American English has such many dialects because people have come from all over the world. The USA is a large country that many different dialects are spoken. Although many Americans move a lot, they will recognize and understood each other's dialects with difficulty.
