    Last Friday I saw the worst weather in years. In the morning, the sun was completely blocked so that I could see something clearly. I stayed at home, look outside. That came into sight was a flash of lightning. Seconds later, the noise of thunder broke the silent. Then a strong wind starts to blow into my room. Pieces of paper on my desk was blown high into the air and some flew out the open window. Then I closed the window when it rained hard and near broke my window.

    What a bad weather! I hate it so I can't go out to play.

    Last Sunday, I accompanied two of my foreign friends, Tom or Mary, around Chengdu so that they could get a feeling of the amazed city. We began by touring Kuan Zhai Alley, that is known for its traditional Chinese architecture. I know the area very good so I acted as their tour guide. For lunch, I tried some Chengdu fried sauce noodles. Tom thought that they were in particularly delicious. Soon before lunch, we went to the Research Base of Giant Panda to pay a visit to the pandas. Both Mary and Tom fall in love with the lovely pandas. We finished off the day by going shopping, and they bought some paper cuts as souvenir. It was fantastic day and I hope they will come to Chengdu again.

    Today is Sunday. The sky is full of sunshine, so does my life. At about 9:00 a.m., I go to the bookstore with my friends. There was a lot of new books. I didn't know what one to buy because these books were all useful to me. At 10:00, we went to cinema. The film was called Titanic but some people were waiting outside the booking office. It took to us about 3 hours to see it. Having seen the film, everyone was deeply moving. Some of my friends even burst out tears. From the story, I understand that love is noble and valuable. That's a really wonderful film. It is very worth seeing again.

    What a happy day! I hope tomorrow I will be happier!

    Our class joined in a meaningful activity during the winter vacation. First, we went to visit the old lady who lived all alone. Some chatted with her but others helped do a thorough cleaning for us. When the work was done, the house looked real neat and tidy. Then we went to the sport center, where all equipment needed polished. We set out to work at once. Everything was dust-free at no time. Having done all this, we saw a pleasant community than before. Tiring as we were, we felt happy as all of our work was paid off.

    On my way home from school last Friday，I saw a little dog on the sidewalk looking hopelessly. I was held it firmly up in my arms，took it home and feed some milk to it. However，my mom was unwilling to keep them，saying there was enough pets for us，two cats and a dog. I begged my mom not to let it go. Finally，we agreed that it would be deciding by my dad，whom didn't return home from work. Just then the girl and her father drove near，searching for their lost pets. When they thanked us taking care of the dog，I felt very happy.
