The key to losing weight is to understand what really motivates you. Have you ever been excited about losing a few pounds? And to help you keep your weight under control, you need some strategies.
Ask questions. When you're researching different dieting products and plans or even talking to a doctor about diets, ask as many questions as you can. Ask questions like: Do I have to purchase special meals or supplements? Does the program include a part to help me maintain my weight loss?
Get real.Don't burden yourself with unrealistic expectations. Remember, large amounts of weight loss are not realistic and are most likely not safe or healthy. Talk with your health care professional to determine a healthy weight goal.
To maintain your weight, you must balance your intake of calories with the energy you burn. Just 30 minutes of fast walking in most days can take about 10 pounds off your weight each year.
Weigh yourself weekly. It's important to track your weight on any diet or weight loss plan, but don't get on the scale every day. Weighing daily won't show you the big picture.

How to Keep a Healthy and Strong Relationship
Are you new to experiencing relationships? Well, let me give you advice on having a healthy and possibly long-term relationship.
{#blank#}1{#/blank#} Do not hide things from them and do not lie. Don't be afraid to say things that aren't very flattering about yourself. Getting them to trust you is the most important element in any relationship. If there's no trust, there's nothing there. So please be honest and they'll learn to open up to you.
Make sure you give them respect. Now respect isn't just simply treating her or him nicely. There's a lot more about it. You have to learn to adjust to their liking. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Don't just think about yourself; think about what your partner needs as well.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Always be willing to help them and give them honesty and positivity at the same time. Make them feel you are someone they can really count on and build a future with. This is an important step in a relationship. Your partner has to be able to count on you when needed.
Make sure you have a good sense of humor with them. Laughter is the key to happiness. Laugh a lot with them and joke with them. Laughter may seem silly, but it's the secret to a lot in life. It will keep the sparks alive. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}
Make sure the communication is good. This goes along with trust, but always communicate how you feel, even if it's something that upsets you. Instead of screaming, talk to them. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} It's important to communicate with them. Don't keep it bottled up.
A. Kissing is only for close family or women friends. B. However, Eskimos never greet each other with a bow. C. Everyone understands a smile so don't be afraid to use it! D. In some cultures, it is usual to kiss on the cheek three times! E. This custom probably started because of the freezing weather. F. Bowing was also traditional in many European countries in the past. G. But it is now becoming international, especially in business situations. |
You might think that simple things like saying hello and goodbye are the same in every culture. Think again!
Shaking hands to say hello or goodbye was a Western custom (风俗) at first. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}
Traditionally, the Chinese custom for greeting was to hold one's hands together and nod their head a little.
Japanese people greet each other by bowing (鞠躬). When greeting an older or more important person, it is usual to bow lower and for longer. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} But only men did it.
People in European countries such as Italy often greet each other with a kiss on both cheeks (脸颊). Even men greet each other like this. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}
Eskimos, a group of people living in the very cold northern areas of North America, greet each other by lightly rubbing (摩擦) their noses together. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Often, Eskimos only leave their eyes and noses uncovered. And the rest of their bodies are covered with warm clothing and their hands with gloves.
When you're not sure what the customs are in a new country, there's one greeting that is the same all over the world: a smile. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}
