Dear Jack,

    My town is very small. Only a few hundred people live here. It has a river with an old bridge across it. There is a church and a school along the river. They are next to each other. Across from our school is a park. It was built last year. I always go there to have fun with my friends. On Main Street there is a hotel, a supermarket, a gas station, a bakery, a butcher's shop and a grocery store.

    We don't have a hospital or a police station, but we do have a doctor and a police officer. They live on opposite sides of the river.

    We don't have a movie theater. If we want to go to a movie, we have to go to the next town. It is a 30-minute bus ride away. The bus stop is outside my house I usually go to the movies with my mom every Saturday.

    "Phubbing" is a new word which comes from the words "phone" and "snub". It describes the habit of snubbing someone in favor of a mobile phone. ②因为玩手机，更多的人变得沉默。They do nothing but bow to play mobile phones.③ time, spend too, they, phones, much, the on(.) And they don't have time to communicate with persons in real life.

    If we keep playing with phones when we are with our friends or family, we will spend less time talking to them. In fact, they need and deserve to be cared for.

    Let us put down the cell phones and enjoy the nature, the food, the books and all the beautiful things and persons around us.

    I'd just got in a taxi at the railway station when suddenly I found one of my suitcases (手提箱) missing. Just then, I saw a young man, not very far, opening it and taking out valuables. "Stop thief! Stop thief!" I shouted and threw open the car door and rushed out to him, followed by the driver and some passers-by. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} My driver caught him by the neck and took out the valuables from his trouser pocket and put them back into my suitcase.

    Half an hour later, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} But as I checked those stolen things, I became very surprised, unable to speak. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} And a blood test report of a 58-year-old woman appeared. I suddenly realized that the taxi driver must have mistaken the thief's things and put his into my suitcase.

Was the young man a habitual thief or a dutiful son who had been driven to find money to save his mother's life? {#blank#}5{#/blank#} How I wish I had gone back that afternoon to return the money and the report and say sorry to him. For the first time in my life, I realized that hate and love are very close.

    I wish there would be a way to describe China in a simple word but that's impossible.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I teach in Xiangyang, a beautiful city which the Hanjiang River goes across it and I live here better. The foods are cheaper than those in the US, so are clothing and articles(物品) of everyday us. People pay less for the public transportation, too.
