When Jason's parents saw him for the first time, they were shocked（震惊）.This lovely little baby with shining blue eyes and curly hair was born disabled（残疾的）. But soon the young couple accepted this fact: Jason's arms are just half without hands and his legs aren't fully grown either. They even forgot to think of him as disabled.

    At the age of six, he told his mother he wanted to get down from the prosthetics（假肢）and play with other kids. This was the last time Jason had worn them. He now has an electric wheelchair（轮椅）, but he never uses it at home or when it is easy for him to move using only his body.

    Jason learned handwriting and coloring at school, holding the pen between the ends of his arms. He also learned to eat with forks at home. When he was ten, he fell in love with football. He never had a pair of shoes in his life because of the shape of his feet. He only wore socks on the football field. He never won a match, but he refused to give up. His strong arms and body, as well as some fantastic ways made him a respected（受尊重的）player on the school team. He went to a famous university after high school.

    Now Jason still faces many hardships in life, but he will make you believe that you can do what he has done. “Never be afraid of any difficulty”, Jason often encourages others in his speeches.

    An Irish priest (牧师) loved going fishing. It was his favourite hobby. However, the weather was so bad this year that he didn't have a chance to go fishing.

    It was very strange that the weather was good every Sunday. But Sunday was the day when he had to go to work. The coming Sunday was good again according to the weather report, so he called another priest and told him that he lost his voice and was in bed with the fever. He asked him to take over his work.

    The priest drove fifty miles to a river so that no one would find him. An angel in Heaven was keeping watch and saw what the priest was doing. He reported it to God. He thought God would do something about it.

    With the first throw of us line, a huge fish bit down the fish food. For over an hour the priest was busy running up and down the river bank to fight the fish. In the end, he landed the large size fish. It was a world record — a Salmon (鲑鱼).

    The angel did not know what was happening and asked God, “Why did you let him catch that huge fish? I thought you were going to teach him a lesson." God replied, "I did. Who do you think he's going to tell?"

    In a small village there lived a man. He would do nothing all day but daydream. Whenever he was hungry, he would go out, beg（乞讨）for food, come back and hang out.

    One sunny afternoon, the man was very hungry. With great difficulty, he got up, took out a pot（罐）and went out to beg. By begging the whole day, he finally got a pot of milk. He hung the pot on the ceiling（天花板）, lay down on his bed and started daydreaming again.

   "This pot of milk is going to make me rich, "he thought." I can make butter from the milk. Then I will be able to make ghee（印度酥油）and go to the market and sell the ghee." His dream continued, "With the money I get, I will buy a pair of cows. They will have baby cows. Soon I would have a large number of cows."

   "Then I will continue my business. I will buy come more cows and own a farm. And I will employ people to work on my farm. I can also open a candy shop. I will make candies out of the cows' milk, "the man kept smiling to himself.

   "I am so smart, "thought the man. Lost in his thoughts, he reached out his foot, breaking the pot. He saw the broken pot and cried. He lost whatever he had because he was lazy and spent his time daydreaming.

Did you have a nice weekend? Well, I did. On Saturday morning, I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} for an English test. In the afternoon, I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} in a swimming pool. It was relaxing. On Saturday evening, I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} dinner with my friends. The dinner was great. On Sunday morning, I {#blank#}4{#/blank#}to the park with my cousin. The weather was great and we had great fun flying kites. Then in the afternoon, I practiced the piano at home. On Sunday evening, I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a basketball game on TV with my dad. How exciting it was!

 What does taking the train mean to you? Perhaps it's just a way of getting to the place you want. But for me the train itself can be part of the1 . It will be always in my mind.

Last year after I graduated from university, I chose some of the most 2 rail lines to travel around Asia. At first, I3 my journey by taking China's first panda-themed tourist train. This train travel was new to me. I loved its lovely design. Its inside and outside 4 panda pictures. The staff(员工) carried panda toys and I could try panda-shaped food. The staff were friendly. I felt comfortable because of their 5 .

 Then I tried Qinghai-Tibet Railway. As the train climbed higher,I found it6 to breathe, and my head started to ache.7 , I met a warm-hearted girl. She talked with me to make me feel less painful. We still keep in touch with each other now. I have never 8 to make such a new friend!

I ended my journey on the9 railway in the world— the Trans-Siberian Railway. It took me six days to run from Moscow to Vladivostok. It was like a time travel experience. Since the way covers eight time zones(时区),I saw my10 go back suddenly after crossing a new zone. It was quite interesting. The sights along the way made me feel peaceful and joyful.

 You will never know what you will experience, and who you will meet when traveling.
