Most people don't think pigs are smart, but sometimes they are really smart. Frank and his wife（妻子）Laura live in Canada. Laura is fifty-eight years old and she is not very healthy. They like going for trips when they are free.

One day, after Frank finds a new job, they go to a village to see their old friend Alan. After lunch, they go outside. Frank is good at swimming, so he asks Alan to go swimming in the river. Laura goes boating first and then she takes a walk with their pets Bill and Lulu near the river. After half an hour, she doesn't feel well. Then she falls down（跌倒）. At this time, her dog Bill and pig Lulu are with her. Bill just keeps quiet there, but Lulu, the fat pig, runs to the river and takes Frank back to Laura. Seeing Laura, Frank knows she is in great danger and he takes her to hospital. Thanks to Lulu, Laura feel well at last. She tells Alan that Lulu saves her life. What a smart pig!

    A first-grade student whose best friend is fighting against cancer thought that hours of playing and telling jokes was not enough-he just wanted to show his buddy(伙伴) how he understood the 1 time he was going through.

    Seven-year-old Vincent Butterfield 2 to cut off his hair in support of his best friend Zac who lost his hair through chemotherapy(化疗).

    Zac is receiving treatment but 3 goes to Union Central Elementary School in Missouri every day, 4 that's where he gets to play on the swings with Vincent. Vincent found out that Zac might 5 his hair because of the chemotherapy treatment. So one day, he showed up in the first grade class wearing a 6. He said to his teacher Mrs. Koester, "I have a surprise for Zac." And he pulled off his cap and other 7 saw that he already had all his hair 8 off.

"I did it just to make Zac feel he's not the only one without any 9." said Vincent.

    Vincent has also been raising money for his best friend after learning how 10 his chemotherapy treatments are. He asked his mother to make11 than 20 scarves and gloves. He and his mother 12 them at the price of 10 dollars each, raising over $200 for Zac. The encouragement from Vincent seems to be working. Though Zac is receiving treatments, he has 13 missed any days of school. He knows that Vincent is out in the playground, waiting for him at break.

When asked 14 friendship was, Vincent looked at his friend Zac, thought for a(an) 15 and replied, "It's a beautiful thing."

Clearly, wisdom doesn't always come with age.

    Long ago, everything on the Earth was asleep. Nothing moved. Nothing grew. (One day the Rainbow Serpent(彩蛇)woke from her sleep and came out from under the ground.

    She travelled a long way but finally got 2  because she was alone and so she returned to the place where she had first appeared, and called to the frogs. "Come out！"

    The frogs appeared one by one. It was difficult for them to move forward because stomachs were 3  water, which they had stored in their sleep. The Rainbow Serpent tickled(挠疼)the frogs and, when they 4  , water ran all over the Earth and that is how lakes and rivers were formed.

    Because there was water, all the animals 5  , and the grass and trees grew. The animals followed the Rainbow Serpent across the land. They were happy. Each lived and collected food with other animals of the same kind.

    At first, all the animals behaved well, but some started making 6  , and so the Rainbow Serpent made rules that they all had to obey.

    The Rainbow Serpent said, ""Those who obey my rules will get a reward(奖贫). I will turn them into humans. Those who don't obey my rules will be punished(惩罚)and turned into stone, and will never be able to   on the Earth again. "

    The bad animals became stone and turned into mountains and hills, and those who obeyed the rules were turned into humans, and lived with others of the same kind happily on the Earth.

    In life, there will always be some people or things that deeply touch you, or even change some of your ideas.

    On my way to school, I always see some people w{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in orange color and sweeping the street. They are city cleaners. People always d{#blank#}2{#/blank#} them as beauticians of the city. However, their work is really hard!

    Last week, our school carried out a social practice activity. I f{#blank#}3{#/blank#} a sanitation (环卫) worker Aunt Hu to experience. As we walked, we w{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Aunt Hu went to clean up the rubbish when she saw it. I also c{#blank#}5{#/blank#} some leaves and waste paper into a plastic bag. After five minutes, I felt a little tired. It was very hot. How I wanted to find a cool place to have a rest! But Aunt Hu didn't mean to stop even though there was much sweat (汗) p{#blank#}6{#/blank#} over her face. Just at this time, a banana peel fell on the ground. I looked up and saw that it was t{#blank#}7{#/blank#} by a fashionable girl! I was very angry, but Aunt Hu picked it up silently and put it in the dustbin. At this moment, I was touched d{#blank#}8{#/blank#}. She left the dirt and tiredness to herself and the tidiness to us, but the girl turned a blind eye to her job!

    City cleaners are worth our high regard. Thanks to them, the public environment has become clean and c{#blank#}9{#/blank#}. The news reports how the public respects the touching news of these lovely people. We are glad to see the public's a{#blank#}10{#/blank#} to the little people.

 Ancient coloring craft is becoming popular. Ni Shenjian can still 1 remember the  time when he started to learn the craft of making blue calico(印花布) about ten years ago. He has become an inheritor(继承人) of the craft. It started in the Song Dynasty. It 2 by people across China from that time.

It's difficult for Ni 3 much money by making the craft. He received encouragement from4 famous artist. In 2012, Ni opened a course on blue calico craft at two 5 . Some of Ni's students used blue calico elements in their designs. Others who became teachers also used 6 they learned from Ni's lessons in their own classes.
