I stood nervously behind the red curtain and looked out across the stage (舞台). A girl about my age sat at a piano; I could see her fingertips 1 over the black and white keys in front of her.

My body froze when the girl stood up from the bench. It was finally my turn. I could hear my heart beating 2 . The girl passed by me with a smile, I heard her say "Good luck"!

"Well, here goes nothing." I said to3

Then I stepped onto the stage and walked slowly toward the piano. The 4 lights nearly blinded me, making it difficult to see the audience. When I reached the piano, the sounds of whispering soon turned into complete 5 . I stared at my 6 fingers and for a moment my mind went blank! Closing my eyes, I imagined the music sitting in front of me and tried to recall (回忆) every detail.

Finally, I took a deep breath and began to play Beethoven's Moonlight sonata (协奏曲). My fingers began to 7 over the keys. The rich tones of the piano rang out. One by one, each muscle (肌肉) in my body loosened and 8

All the practice and effort put in for six months showed this was 9 my teacher was pushing for. "Keep your wrists up, relax your arms, don't raise your shoulders. . ." I remembered feeling a bit 10 when hearing these things over and over. But I never realized until now how it really 11

When I reached the end of the piano a great 12 went up from the audience. I rose from the bench and gave a deep bow. A 13 smile lit up my face. As the applause (鼓掌声) 14 I turned and walked to the other side of the stage. I saw a young boy standing nervously behind the red curtains staring fearfully out at the stage. When I walked by, I passed to him the two words that were 15 to me for encouragement: Good luck!

In 1921, long before the Walt Disney Company turned Pooh (维尼熊) into an international star of TV and films, Christopher Robin Milne was given a toy bear on his first birthday from his father, A. A. Milne, who bought the stuffed animal from a store. The stuffed animal was named Edward Bear. Years later, Edward was named Winnie. From the time Christopher Robin Milne was a baby until he was about 8 years old, he would receive different stuffed animals. A. A. Milne was a famous English writer. As he watched his son interact (互动) with Winnie and friends.

A. A. Milne thought his child's interaction with the collection of animals would make a great bedtime story. So Milne worked with artist Ernest H. Shepard and wrote the first Winnie the Pooh poem, where Edward Bear was known as "Teddy Bear". The writings appeared in Punch magazine and in the book they wrote together, When We Were Young, which was published in 1924. In a four-year period, three more books that focused on the bear and his team followed: 1926's Winnie-the-Pooh, 1927's Now We Are Six, and 1928's The House at Pooh Corner.

The books and poems about Pooh brought great success to the writer, and the characters became favorites with young children and their families around the world. Their popularity led Disney to get the rights (版权) to make films about the characters in 1961. Five years later, Pooh, Tiger, Piglet and the rest of the team appeared on screen for the first time in Winnie-the-Pooh and the Honey Tree. The characters later appeared in TV shows, movies, video games and short films. Pooh's most recent appearance came last year in the popular children's program, Doc McSiuf ins, where he was a special guest.
