Weather Report

    On September 12^th this year, you will see a full moon. It is the Mid-Autumn Festival. The festival is on the 15^th day of the eighth lunar month. And it is one of the most important festivals in China.

    It is a big time for families and friends to get together. In the evening, people sit around a table and look at the bright moon. They eat sweet or salty moon cakes. People can see a lot of lanterns on the street. Children like guessing the answers to the lantern riddles.

    The Mid-Autumn Festival is also a harvest festival. Farmers begin to harvest fruits and vegetables.

Sunday June 1st

    I am John. It was a great day for me. I got up early today. In the morning，I went to the supermarket with my parents. We bought some vegetables，some fruits，some fish and beef. My mother likes fruit very much. Dad and I made a fruit salad for her. Beef is my favourite food. Mum cooked yummy beef. Mum made a big cake for me，too. Because it was Children's Day. And I got a new bike from my parents. I was so excited. I rode the new bike to the park in the afternoon.

    It was a great Children's Day.

    I like school days, because I can learn many things from school. We have four classes in the morning and two in the afternoon. I like weekends, too. We don't go to school on Saturdays and Sundays. I often play ping-pong and play basketball on Saturday morning. I often play the pipa on Saturday afternoon. I often do homework and play football on Sunday morning. I often go to the park on Sunday afternoon.
