Dear Jim,

    I'd like to tell you something more about our school sports meet. It was holding on Oct. 6th, it was a fine day. There were over 1,000 students and teachers attended it. Wang Lin, a student from my class won the 100-meters race. He finished the race in 12.6 seconds and broke the school record. The sports meet was really success. That was because we were all trying to do my best. Although I was not one of the winner, I was proud of that we had done.

    My friend Mike have benefited greatly from humor. He is kind but overweight, that brings him a lot of problems. Once one of my classmates laughed him,“ Why are you so fat?” We all stopped to stare at Mike, wonder how he would answer the question. She just said in a calm voice, “Well, because of my size must be large enough to hold my large heart of love.” Hearing his word, we all burst into laughter. Not only does Mike take the joke, but he also managed to cope with the embarrassed situation. What a important part humor plays in our daily life!

    I hardly remember my grandmother. She used to holding me on her knees and sing old songs. I was only four when she passes away. She is just a distant memory for me now. I remember my grandfather very clear. He was tall, with broad shoulder and a beard that turned from black toward gray over the years. He had a deep voice who set him apart from others in our small town, he was strong and powerful. In a fact, he even scared his classmates away when they came over to play or do homework with me. However, he was the gentlest man I have never known.

    Recently campus safety has become public concern since a series of violent attacks happened, which causes serious damage. It makes us aware of the fact that safety should always come firstly in our daily life.

    In this case, we should take effective measure which can solve this problem. Firstly, our students should realize we must follow our school or traffic rules, and pay attention to food safety, because many incidents happen just because of we are too careless. Secondly, you should take training of security so that we can keep calm if faced with conflicts. Thirdly, our government and schools should provide surroundings that our students can be buried in studying.

    As far as I am concerned, improving campus safety is very important that we all should try our best to make anyone on campus safe and sound.
