    As a student, I can tell you that there is nothing better than praised by my teacher before my classmates. Never will I forget one experience in an English class last year.

I felt extreme nervous the instant the class began. Mr. Zhang might announce the exam result and I would probably get scolding as before.     I was reading an article in a book while I came across a word I didn't know. “Dad, what is the meaning of the word?” My dad, as he usual did after work, was watching his most favorite show. “You have the dictionary, don't you?” he shot back. He didn't even look up my face. I went back my room, and there on my study table is that dictionary. I looked it up and found it's exact meaning. Ten year have passed and I still use that dictionary, along with the lesson I received earlier in life from my old man: to be independent.

    After spending many time at the hospital with my 70-year-old mother-in-law, we went out to have something eat at 9:30 pm. The server was very busy prepare to close the restaurant. However, he was kind and served us good without asking our reasons for so a late dinner. Before we left, I went up and gave him an generous tip even though this restaurant didn't require any tip. At first she refused but I insisted on and he accepted it finally. It make us both very happily.

    When I first came to England, I know little English. As you can probably guess it, my life was difficulty for a time. Simple tasks like ordering food or take a taxi were quite stressful. I signed up for classes and studied on my own as well, so I made poor progress. I became very discouraging. Finally, I found best way to learn English was to make friends with native speakers and spend time with them. I appreciated playing in a band with an English woman which became one of my best friend in London. My English improved great by hanging out with her.

    Yes, you really have the Mid-Autumn Festival. It's on August 15th of the lunar calendar (农历). It's one of the most important festival in China. All the family members got together for a big dinner that day. We usual eat moon cakes while enjoyed the moon at night. We believe the full moon are the symbol of reunion.
