On May 14^th, 2016, three foreigners saved a drowning(溺水的)Chinese girl.

    Roman and Krill are Russian first-year college students. That Saturday, they were standing by the river near Shanghai Jianqiao University with their teacher, Bastien, a teacher from France at Jianqiao University. Then they saw someone “swimming”.

    The three said the “swimmer” seemed to be drowning. They rushed to help, though they didn't hear any cries, and found a girl in the water.

    Roman jumped into the water at once. He swam to the girl and quickly caught her arm. Then Krill came to Roman and held his hand. Bastien held on to the bank with one hand, while holding Krill with the other hand.

    “The girl almost pulled us into the water as she tried so hard to get out of the water,” said Bastien.

    A video showed that the rescue took less than five minutes. But it was really dangerous.

    The girl, 17 ,was a student from a nearby school. The three heroes spent some time with her to make sure she was safe and not hurt. Then the girl was sent to the international students' apartment of Shanghai Jianqiao University. Roman, one of the Russian students, later found he was injured in the back during the rescue. His cellphone also broke after being in the water. Students and teachers at Jianqiao University quickly heard the news. They were all proud of them. The three men also received some money as a reward from the girl's parents on Monday.

    Thanks to the three brave men, the girl didn't lose her life. The three heroes have been called foreign “LeiFeng”.

    An unpunctual man never does what he has to do at the right time. He is always in a hurry and in the end loses both time and his good name. A lost thing may be found again, but lost time can never be got back. Time is more valuable than material things. In fact, time is life itself. An unpunctual person is always wasting his most important things as well as others'. An unpunctual person is always saying unhappily that he finds no time to answer letters or return calls. But the man who really has much to do is very careful of his time. He knows that he cannot finish all his work unless he carefully does every piece of work.

    Being unpunctual is the sign of disrespect towards others. If a person is invited to dinner and arrives later than the time when he should be there, he keeps all other guests waiting for him. Usually this will be thought as a great disrespect for the host and all the other guests.

    The Pew report—which was based on surveys carried out in Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Poland and the Czech Republic—concluded that the European Union was “ the new sick man of Europe”.

    The percentage of Europeans with a favorable view of the EU has plunged from 60 percent last year to 45 percent now.

    The UK may be considered the most Eurosceptic（欧洲怀疑论者）country, but its support for the union has barely changed in the past 12 months, slipping only two points to 43 percent.

    By contrast, France's backing for the EU has slipped sharply, from 60 percent last year to 41 percent today.

    On the question of whether to remain in the EU, 46 percent of the British want to leave the union and surprisingly, the same percentage want to stay.

    The Pew report's authors said, “The long-drawn economic crisis has created bad forces that are pulling European public opinion apart, separating the French from the Germans and Germans from everyone else.”

Sweden—one of the happiest countries in the world—also has lots of happy DNA.Ghana,Nigeria,Mexico and Columbia all come out near the top in the happiness league,and have high rates of the gene.In contrast,the people of Iraq,Jordan and China are among the least likely to rate themselves as very happy and also have the lowest level of the FAAH gene.

However,wealth and health are found to have little effect on happiness.The finding could help explain why some of the world's poorest nations are also the happiest.In addition,the FAAH gene and an optimistic attitude would not always go hand in hand.For example,Russians and Estonians score very low in happiness,despite having the right happy DNA.

Professor Michael Minkov said,"The climate condition is associated with the nation's happiness.We can notice the high occurrence of the FAAH gene in tropical(热带的) areas in the Americas and Africa.And the occurrence of the gene around the Mediterranean Sea is much lower than that in Northern Europe."

The social experts say that genetics is not the only determinant(决定因素) of happiness.The economic and political difficulties in some nations also contribute to the very low happiness scores.Nations that are not blessed with the right DNA aren't necessarily miserable.
