How to be a teenage role model

    In today's world, most teen role models(楷模)are famous people. They appeal to the teenagers a lot with their looks, money and fame. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} If you are a teen out there and you want to inspire your peers(同龄人), here are a few steps that you should follow:

Build confidence.

    People always believe in those who believe in themselves.{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Build on these strengths and let them help you to develop into the kind of role model you want to be.

    Having a unique character can really draw others to you more than being the same as others. This does not mean that you should give up the same interests you have with your friends, but just try to be a leader rather than a follower of others.

Be humble.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Many people respect those who have accomplished a lot in their lives but are still down to earth. Remember just because you have found your confidence doesn't mean you should look down upon others.

    Play the role you have created for yourself.

    After you have gotten a positive image(形象) of yourself and a good relationship with your peers, stick to it! Be guided by your desire(欲望) to be a role model in everything you do.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    Having mastered the above steps, you will start noticing the positive influence you are having on others. Keep trying to better yourself as you continue to inspire others.

    What is more, a teacher puts real pressure on you.  If you study by yourself,you must be strong-minded enough to keep on.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} But under the guidance of a teacher, you will feel there is always someone to watch you. The teacher may give you homework to do. You must complete the homework, or you will not pass the course.

    Last but not least, studying with a teacher will help you receive the benefit of the teacher's knowledge {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.They teach students how to learn and how to obtain information. They guide all of you in class to discuss the material and provide extra material to broaden the scope of the topic.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}I choose to learn in a big family—my school. Without a teacher, I would feel there would be no fun and no pressure. I could not learn well in such dull and depressing circumstances.

    In many countries of the world people do what is called house sitting. It means that if owners of the house are going away, they want someone to come into their home and look after the house and maybe pets while they are away.

    So if someone wants to travel or go away for some reason, they might want someone in their home to care for it and keep the gardens tidy. House sitters might have to care for pets. Also, quite a few people have swimming pools in their back yard and they need cleaning. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} I feel it is a great way of seeing the country, because you go and stay in a new city, get to meet new people, and have time to go sightseeing in a new area.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} There are websites where you find the advertisements by people who want to travel, and by replying to the advertisement, you can make arrangements to go and look after their home. There are some requirements to be a house sitter. You must be a trusted person, so that the home owner knows you will not steal anything. You must be able to go when the house owner wants you to go, so you need lots of free time. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} You need to be good with pets, able to care for cats and dogs, or other pets they may have.

    Some house sitting Jobs are just for a few days or a couple of weeks while the house owner have a short holiday. Sometimes it is for much longer. We have had one house sit for six months, while the home owner travelled to Europe.

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Then you can travel to many different countries and stay there. One of the important things to get are references from the home owners where you have stayed. A reference is a written letter to say that you are trustworthy and have looked after their home well. You can show these letters to prospective house sitting Jobs and they know you will do a good job.

    Confidence is a skill that many folks want to master, but have a hard time acquiring. Have you ever wondered why? Possibly you were born confident. You were talked to negatively as a child or maybe you were rejected many times. Whatever the case is, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    But how to boost your confidence?

    Act as if .Begin to act as if you are confident. Act as the person you would want to be like. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Surround yourself with people who you think are confident and have high value. You will learn so much from observing other confident folks.

Whenever you notice you think negatively, pause and take a moment, and shift your focus to something that can help you feel better about yourself.

    Go after your goals. If you are really serious about building self-confidence, you need to identify your goals and go after then. The more you add to your accomplishments, the more confident you will feel about your abilities and skills. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

    I Curling(冰壶)is a winter sport played on ice. Therefore, it's most popular in northern countries like Canada. So people began making a sport out of sliding heavy stones on the frozen lakes. The game spread, and in the 1700s curling clubs formed Then Scottish soldiers brought it to North America.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Men, women, and children often compete on the same team, if they can slide a forty-pound stone down the ice! Both teams slide their stones toward the same goal. After all 16 stones have been cast, the team whose stone has slid closest to the goal gets one point.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#}The ice is so smooth and the stone is so heavy that even the smallest misjudgment in a throw can make the stone slide much too far or stop too suddenly. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Water helps the stone slide, but it can also change the stone's path.
