Nancy is a funny girl. Her 1  is full of fantastic ideas. Like any other child, she has 2  in her life, but she always solves it in funny ways.

    Nancy's classmate Lionel lost a tooth at school last month. The teacher 3  him a cute tooth necklace (项链). Nancy found it was nice and she wanted one too.

    Many years ago, my dad worked in a children's hospital.

    A girl in the hospital had a 1 illness. She couldn't move her hands or feet. She could only move her head. She 2 on bed every day and she was very sad. Even the 3 couldn't help her.

    My dad 4 to try his best to help her. He brought paints, brushes and paper to her room. He hung (挂) the paper on the wall, put the brush in his 5 and began to paint. He didn't use his hands at all. Only his head moved. My dad 6 the girl, “See, you can do anything you want to do.”

    Soon the girl began to paint using her own mouth. She and my dad became good friends. But my dad fell ill 7 that time and he had to stay at home.

    Hannah Taylor is a schoolgirl from Canada. One day, when she was five years old, she was walking with her mother in downtown. They saw a man 1 out of a rubbish can. She asked her mother why he did that and her mother said that the man was homeless and hungry. Hannah was very 2. She couldn't understand why some people had to live their lives without houses or enough food. Hannah started to think about how she could 3, but, of course, there is not a lot one five-year-old can do to solve the problem of homelessness.

    Later ,when Hannah attended school, she saw another homeless person. It was a woman, 4 an old shopping trolley（购物车）which was full of 5. It seemed that everything the woman owned was in them. Hannah 6 to do something. She had been talking to her mother about the lives of homeless people 7 they first saw the homeless man.     When my brother and I got adopted (收养), I was four and he was two. I was 1 at first. I didn't know what was going on. I didn't smile at all. But then I found a lovely new nightgown (睡衣) on my bed. I started to smile. I had 2 had my own nightgown before. When my dad saw me 3 , he hugged me. He started to cry a little. I felt happy because my brother and I finally had a forever 4.

    I remember once when I was in the third grade, a boy asked me if I was adopted. I said I couldn't remember, because I was too shy to tell him. But it doesn't feel 5 to talk about it now. At home, we talk about it a lot.

    I'm in the sixth grade now, and a lot of people 6 my story. It feels great. I always feel good about myself when my friends are around—one friend especially. When my friend was little, her mother couldn't 7 her, so she was adopted. When I heard her story, it sounded a lot like my story. It started out hard, but that part is over.

    Life is good for me. I 8 my parents and do whatever I can to help. I'm interested in 9 and I sometimes prepare breakfast. I collect eggs from the henhouse and cook them for breakfast. When I feed my dog or close the chickens up for the night, I give them love, just like my 10 give me.

Today, I was sitting on a bench(长椅) at a subway station, eating candies. A woman came and sat next to me. She looked very 1. I said hello to her and2 her some of my candies.     A few minutes later, I saw a blind man coming. He walked11 with a stick in his right hand. He gave me his name card before getting off the train, and I promised to14 him. I will and maybe we will meet and walk in the park one day.

Today I brought smiles and an enjoyable15 to two people, and for sure they also made my day brighter.
