One morning a fox was searching for his breakfast. He went down to the lake to 1some fish. Suddenly he saw a rabbit digging a hole on the bank of the lake and decided to eat it instead. Not wanting the rabbit to discover him, the fox moved 2 towards his meal. As he got closer, he stepped on some dry leaves. The rabbit then3 in fear. When he saw the fox, he started to shout.

“Quiet! Why do you rabbits shout so much?” asked the fox, slightly annoyed that he had lost his 4.

 “I am sorry, but you scared me. Your sharp teeth make me 5” replied the rabbit. “But I don't want to eat you,” lied the fox, “I am only here to help with your6. I will be back tomorrow and help you dig your hole.”

The next day, the fox returned to the 7. There he saw a group of rabbits busily digging holes on the bank. He thought about catching one. At that moment the rabbit he had met the day before started jumping up and down, making a 8noise to warn his friends. All the rabbits and even the fish quickly9. The poor fox could not find anything to catch for food and ended up10fruit.

    Life is full of chances and challenges. For students, if we don't study hard, 1, we will fall 2 other students. At first, I didn't know 3 the word " exam" meant.     A Little Horse Crossing the River

    There is an old horse and a little horse on a farm. One day the old horse asks the little horse to send the wheat to the mill(磨坊）。The little horse is very happy. He carries the wheat and runs toward the mill. But there is a river in front of the little horse. He stops and doesn't know {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to do next. Just then Aunt Cow is passing by.

Aunt Cow answers.” It's not deep, you can cross it.”

    When the little horse begins to cross the river, a little squirrel(松鼠）shouts to him,” Little horse, don't cross it, you will be drowned. Yesterday {#blank#}3{#/blank#} of my friends was drowned in this river.”

    The little horse is very {#blank#}4{#/blank#} .Finally he {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to go home and asks his mother.

    The old horse asks,”{#blank#}6{#/blank#} do you take the wheat back? What's wrong with you, my child?”

    The little horse answers sadly,” There is a river in front of me. Aunt Cow said it was not deep, but the little squirrel said it was deep. What shall I do?”

    The old horse says,” My child, you should try to cross the river by   7    . If you don't try, how do you know the river is deep or not.

    Kierman was born in Sydney, Australia, and grew up near the sea. For more than 40 years, he raced in international sailing competitions.

    In 1987, Kierman was competing in an around-the-world race when he began to1the huge amount of rubbish in the world's oceans. When he returned to Australia, he 2to do something about it.

    He organized a community3 called "Clean Up Sydney Harbour." On Sunday, January 8, 1989, more than 40,000 volunteers came out to 4away rubbish. The next year, Kierman made the clean-up a national event. It was a huge 5. Across Australia, about 300,000 people spent the day improving their local6.

    Since then, "Clean Up Australia" has got7every year. In 2002, for example, 800,000 people cleaned up almost 15,000 tons of rubbish from Australia's beaches, parks and streets.
