M: Would you like a hot dog?

L: Yes, Please. How about you, Mike?

M: I'd like an egg and a pie.

W: OK! Here you are.

M: Wow! A red egg.

L: Yes, and a green pie.

W: And the hot dog is orange. It's nice.

    Amy and Ann are twins. They have a nice room. There are two beds and desks in it. Amy and Ann like milk and bread, but they don't like tea or rice. You can see some bottles of milk and some bread on the desks. But you can't see any tea or rice. They can play basketball well. But they don't like football. They think it's easy to ride a bike, but they think it's hard to swim in the river. On Sundays, they go shopping. Amy and Ann are good students. They like their school very much.

A Lazy Boy

    Two friends are having a holiday. Their names are Frank and Henry. Henry is very lazy.

    On the first evening of their holiday, Frank says to Henry," Here's some money. Go and buy some meat. "

    "I'm too tired," answers Henry, "You go."

    So Frank goes to buy the meat. Later he comes back and says to Henry, "Now here's the meat. Please cook it."

    But Henry answers," No, I'm not good at cooking. You do it."

    So Frank cooks the meat. Then he says to Henry," Go and get some water."

    "No, I don't want to get my clothes dirty." Henry answers.

    At last, Frank says," The meat is ready. Come and eat it."

    "Yes, I'll do that," answers Henry, "I don't like saying 'No' all the time."

    It's a sunny morning. It's warm but not hot. Jack sees an old man with a black umbrella walking on the street.

    Jack is very curious (好奇的). So he asks the old man, "Hello. Would you tell me why you bring the umbrella?" The old man answers, "My legs are not strong. If I carry a walking stick, people will say, 'How poor the man is!' I don't like this. So I carry an umbrella to help me. When people see I'm walking with an umbrella in a fine day, they will only say, ‘How foolish the man is!' "

    The students of Grade One are going to have a winter camp. They are going to live together for a week. No one is going to help them. They must go shopping and do the cooking and washing themselves. On the first two days, they are going to stay in the camp. They can watch videos and play computer games and get everything ready for the next five days. On the third day, they are going to visit a modem car factory. On the fourth or fifth day, they are going to have a picnic. On the sixth day, they are going to get up early and watch the sunrise. They are going to come back on the seventh day. Some of them are coming home by train and some of them are coming back by bus.
