I have great news to report. Yesterday I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (give) a higher position in my company with {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (high) pay . I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (work) for my company for a number of years, and things have gone quite {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (good). First, I helped my department increase sales last year. Before that, we only earned 150,000 dollars a year.  We have advertised and promoted our products at trade shows , on TV and in the newspaper , {#blank#}5{#/blank#} brings about a good result. Our company has become better {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (know) not only in our area but also in other cities. Now, more and more {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (customer) are learning about us ; When you have satisfied customers, the news gets around. Besides increased sales, I've established {#blank#}8{#/blank#} good working relationship with my colleagues. We recognize each other's abilities and respect each other's opinion.     Last night was the last game for my eight-year-old son's soccer team. It was the final quarter. The score was two {#blank#}1{#/blank#} one, my son's team in the lead. Parents surrounded the playground, offering encouragement.

    With less than ten {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (remain) seconds, the ball suddenly rolled in front of my son's teammate, Mickey O' Donnel. You see, Mickey has Down Syndrome（综合症）and for him there is {#blank#}6{#/blank#} such thing as a wrong goal. All goals were celebrated by a joyous hug from Mickey. He had even been known to hug the opposing players when they scored.

    The silence was finally broken when Mickey, his face filled with joy, hugged my son {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (tight) and shouted, “I scored! I scored. Everybody won! Everybody won!” For a moment I held my breath, not sure how my son {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (react). I need not have worried. I watched, through tears, as my son threw up his hand in the classic high-five salute and started chanting, “Way to go Mickey!” Within moments both teams surrounded Mickey, joining in the chant and congratulating him on his goal.

In 1891, at the age of 17, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} set sail for Alexandria, Egypt. By the 1920s, he had become an explorer,{#blank#}7{#/blank#} (search) for the tombs of the Egyptian kings. He found several {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (importance) ones. Inside the tombs, he discovered a great fortune in jewels and gold, along {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the preserved bodies of dead kings.
