Which animal do you think is "the king of the animals", the elephant, the lion or the tiger? They are all large and strong. But I think the tiger is "the king of the animals". If you watch carefully, you can find some black lines on the tiger's forehead(前额). The lines look like the Chinese word "WANG". The word means "the king of the world" in Chinese.

    Most of the tigers come from China and India. Tigers are dangerous animals. They look scary(吓人的). They like eating meat. They have yellow fur with black lines. They usually weigh about 200 to 300kg. Tigers can run fast. They run at a speed of 20 meters per second.

    Some people think they are dangerous. But they don't know tigers are in danger now. There are only 20 to 30 wild South China Tigers in China and less than 300 in the world. Lots of people kill them for their fur. We should take action to protect them.

    Many years ago, most of our earth wascovered with blocks (块) of ice. These iceblocks were as tall as high buildings in modern cities. Most of the ice was inthe northern part of the world. Then the ice blocks started to move south. Coldand rain came with the ice. Animals had to move. At last, the ice began to melt(融化). After half a million years, most of it melted.More than half of the earth became covered with water. Theclimatebecame much warmer. Things began to grow. The earth began to look the way inwhich it looks today.

Fudan University: free courses for high school students

Tea and coffee are two of the most popular drinks in the world. However, people usually like one more than the other. These drinks also have very different uses. 

Tea drinking started in China over 4, 000 years ago. Tea is made from leaves. These days, some people drink tea for health, using it to help with stress or lose weight. However, most people in tea-drinking countries think of tea as more than just a healthy drink. In fact, tea drinking in some countries is a part of the culture. In Turkiye(土耳其), tea is always there when people meet. Whether in someone's home or a company, tea is always offered as a way of welcoming. In the UK, homes and offices usually have tea time. Tea and other dishes are served at tea time in the afternoon. It is a way to feel at ease with friends or co-workers(同事). 

Coffee came much later than tea, just over 1, 000 years ago. Coffee is made from beans. Something in the coffee beans makes a person feel active. Most people do not drink coffee to relax. Instead, they drink coffee to get going. Many people drink coffee in the morning to help themselves wake up. Others will also drink coffee during short breaks in the afternoon to keep going through the working day. Some people may visit coffee shops just to meet and talk with friends. However, many people in coffee shops drink coffee while working on their computers.

 First of all, true friendship must treat their friends loyally and help each other. In other words, you must not take advantage of your friends, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} For example, some unfriendly people make friends in order to cheat money and feelings, or get a certain secret. I don't think these are true friendships.
