It was 8:30 at night. Don was driving home. He was surprised when he saw a large, green light in the sky. The light was floating(漂浮)over a field. Don stopped his car and went out. He stood behind a tree and watched.

The light got very bright. It came nearer and nearer. It was a UFO! And it landed in the field!

"What's that? Maybe there are travelers from space in the UFO, "he thought. He started to walk across the field.

Then a large door on the UFO opened. Something came out! It moved toward Don.

The thing was not nice to look at! It had long yellow strings(细绳)on its face. Two round and blue balls were on its face. Under the round things, there were three holes. One hole opened and closed and made big noises.

Now Don was afraid, but he tried to be brave. He walked nearer and listened to the terrible noises.

"Hello," said the strange thing. "My name is Zeeb. I'm from the planet Mars(火星). This is my first trip to the earth. Glad to meet you."

William Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564. His father was an important man in the town, so Shakespeare had a good childhood. Shakespeare probably went to school but not university. He got married to Anne Hathaway when he was 18 and the couple had 3 children.

Shakespeare wrote 39 plays and 154 sonnets (a kind of poem). He began working in his hometown of Stratford, but by 1592, he began writing in London. He became rich enough to buy a house in the capital and another in Stratford. He wrote sad stories called tragedies, like Romeo and Juliet, funny stories or comedies, romantic stories and stories about history, such as Julius Caesar.

Shakespeare died in 1616, about 400 years ago. But why are his works still popular today?

His works looked at common human themes, such as murder, lust, power, ambition and love. Even until now, these memes are still part of human nature. We can also see the themes in modem soap operas and Hollywood films. Even though his theatre, The Globe, burnt down in 1613, it was rebuilt in London in 1997 and you can still see his plays performed there today.

Shakespeare's influence on me English language can still be felt today. We talk about "fair play", meaning honest behaviour, but this phrase was first used by Shakespeare. And it was Shakespeare that came up with the expression of "disappear into thin air". And we still use it today when we lose something. Besides, Shakespeare's works have been translated into many languages in the world. And perhaps we'll still be as fascinated by his works 400 years from now as we've been for almost the last 400 years.

In a village near a desert lived a young and successful businessman; named James But he often felt unhappy because of the endless challenges he faced.

One day, a wise old man came to the village with 100 camels. James went to see him and said, "I always have business worries, family troubles and health problems. Please tell me how to make them disappear." The old man smiled and said, "I'll give you an answer tomorrow morning. But first, can you do a small thing for me?" James agreed. The old man asked him to take care of the 100 camels for the night, making sure that they all sat down and rested before he could go to sleep.

The next morning, the old man asked James how his night went. James said sadly, "I didn't sleep at all. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get all the camels to sit together. Even if I managed to get some camels to sit on one side, a few others would stand on the other side."

"That's true. As noticed last night, some camels sat down on their own, while others required some effort, and yet many camels did not sit even after lots of effort. If you had come back later, you would have seen that some of the camels, even though they didn't sit at first, finally sat down on their own," the old man said.

James nodded. The old man continued, "Problems are just like camels—some problems get solved by themselves, some get solved when you put in some effort, and some do not get solved even after you have tried your best. Leave such problems to time. At the right time, these problems themselves will come to an end. "

James felt a sense of understanding. It completely changed the way he saw life's challenges.
