In the nineteenth century football began to be played in English public schools. The public schools were actually very expensive private(私立的) schools attended by the sons of the rich and powerful.

The headmasters (校长) of three schools--Rugby, Eton and Harrow--began to develop new versions of football. The game became less violent (激烈的), less dangerous and easier to control(控制). It became a game for young gentlemen.

Each public school divided its pupils into clubs or "houses". The houses played football matches against each other, with each house wearing a particular(特定的) colour.

The first football clubs were organized(组织) in the same way as the house teams. Later the house competitions were used as a model(模型,模范) for the FA Cup(the Football Association Challenge Cup(英格兰足球杯).

Many of the boys at the public schools went on to the two English universities, Oxford and Cambridge. Football was very popular at Cambridge, but the young men from the different schools played with different rules. In 1848 a set of Cambridge Rules were established(制定) for everyone to play under. Weeks before Tomb-Sweeping Day on April 4 this year, hundreds of qingtuan were sold each day. The snack was still a must-have for many people.

In the southern part of China, eating qingtuan at the beginning of spring is a kind of tradition. Chinese people started to eat it more than 2, 000 years ago. It is made of sticky rice(糯米) and red bean paste(红豆沙), and is famous for its softness, freshness and sweetness. The secret behind its mouth-watering taste is one of its materials—mugwort leaves (艾蒿叶). The plant is mainly found in the Yangtze RiverDelta(长江三角洲) where it has perfect conditions to grow.

People in this area usually put qingtuan on the tombs(墓) of their dead family members to cherish the past memory. Making qingtuan is also a chance for family members to get together at home. It really takes time and effort to make the snack.

Now, qingtuan has already spread its special taste to the northern part of China. Li Yuan, a 30-year-old engineer who grew up in Zhejiang Province, brought qingtuan back to Beijing where he works. "It tastes different in and out of my hometown, "he said. "There's no place like home. "

Qingtuan has many different tastes inside it, such as apples and bean milk, to meet customers' tastes. The difference of the taste shows that it's getting more and more popular across the whole country.

Even though there is warm weather and green leaves in spring, the season wouldn't be complete without a taste of qingtuan.

Many students do an IQ test in their school. Even if they never see their results, they feel that their  IQ is what determines how well they are going to do in life. When they see other students doing better than them, they usually believe that those students have a higher IQ and that they can't change this fact. However, new research suggests that success is not simply the result of a high IQ.

While your IQ tells you how intelligent you are, your EQ tells you how well you use your intelligence. Professor Salovey says that when predicting someone's future success, their EQ might actually matter more than their IQ. For example, you may wonder why some of the smartest students in your class sometimes fail exams. Perhaps their failure is because of their low EQ.

It is believed that people with high EQs are open to new idea s and have positive altitudes(态度) towards life. They are seldom troubled by problems. As for people with low EQs, they often have trouble getting on with others and dealing with difficult situations. As a result, they have a harder time surviving in life.

The good news is that EQ has a lot to do with education. Compared with IQ that seems to be fixed(固定的) the moment you were born, EQ could be improved with right methods. For example, learning more skills in communication and understanding can be helpful.

To live a happy successful life, you need a high EQ— the higher, the better.
