A good teacher is many things to many people. In my own experience, the people I respect most are the teachers{#blank#}1{#/blank#}demanded the most discipline from their students.

    I miss one teacher in particular that I had in high school. I think she was a good teacher because she was a very strict person. I remember very {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (clear) a sign over her classroom door. It was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} simple sign that said, “Laboratory—in this room the first five letters of the word was emphasized, not the last seven. ” In other words, I guess, labor for her was more{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (importance), which means{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (make) speeches.

    She prepared her work very carefully and demanded us to do the same. We got lots of homework from her. Once she had broken {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (she) arm, and everybody in the class thought that maybe the homework {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (reduce), but it continued just the same. She checked our work by stamping her name at the bottom of the papers to show that she had read {#blank#}8{#/blank#}

    I think sometimes teachers who demand most are{#blank#}9{#/blank#}（like）least. But {#blank#}10{#/blank#}time goes by, this discipline really seems to benefit the students.

    A teahouse is a special house which primarily serves tea and other light refreshments. Its function varies widely {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (depend) on the culture. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, the number of teahouses went beyond that of restaurants, gaining more {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (popular) and becoming more famous. Later, the acculturation of Western culture forces traditional Chinese teahouses to take on {#blank#}9{#/blank#} new look. After reform and opening-up, with the rapid development of the economy and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (evidence) improvement of people's living standards, teahouses flowered in China.

    I agree with Mr. Zhang's idea {#blank#}1{#/blank#} sport can help improve health and mood {#blank#}2{#/blank#} people of all ages. I had a similar experience last year. I quit the basketball team {#blank#}3{#/blank#} I thought I didn't have enough time for it. After {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(quit) I felt sad and had no energy. I quickly lost my {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(fit) too. I spoke to my parents who agreed I should rejoin the team. Now I play every week and I'm happy and healthy.

Why Acting Is So Much More Than It Appears to Be

For many people, acting appears to be people talking while getting emotional, which is why so many people think they can do it. No one imagines {#blank#}1{#/blank#}waking up one day and being a professional singer or pianist. But for actors, they say, "acting is hard only {#blank#}2{#/blank#}one has to memorize lines, if I could remember, I could be an actor, too."

But acting isn't just about memorizing lines and talking in conversational reality. As Meisner said, "Acting is doing things truthfully under imaginary circumstances." If {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(understand) correctly, this definition is an ambitious and remarkable thing to strive for.

To do things truthfully, actors must acquire many challenging skills . {#blank#}4{#/blank#}these skills, the script will remain flat on the page, despite being recited out loud. To make a script come to life in a believable way, the actor {#blank#}5{#/blank#}make active choices.

Imagine for a moment how many different ways there are {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(deliver) one single line. Even something as simple as "close the door" can mean so many different things and {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(express) in so many different ways. The words are the writer's, but the behavior {#blank#}8{#/blank#}brings them to vivid life? That is the actor.

The goal of great actors? That's to act naturally. Good quality acting must always come down to a kind of naturalness that makes those acting skills {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(visible) to the audience. In other words, a good actor must not appear to be acting at all.

So do not be fooled into thinking that {#blank#}10{#/blank#}can read and speak can be an actor. The naturalness displayed by great actors is exactly what makes you think that way, but it took them years of training to get to this point. It is so much more than you know.
