    Today I was in the shopping center with my neighbor, who was there to collect several item for a friend. One of the friend's parents were struck by a serious disease. While staying there, I became aware a young mom with her daughter. She was paying the attention to her as they shopped. I stopped her to offer my appreciation to him for the fact which she was so devoted to her little girl. I went on to say that I feel sad to see moms texting or talking on their cell phones and completely ignore their children. I praised her and told the little girl that she had the good mom in the whole world. The mom smiled, obvious feeling happy at my words.

    Last week I went to visit to my former neighbor, Mr. Yang. He and I used to living next to each other for many years. About half a year ago, an order came which the old building, along with many other similar ones, were going to be pulled down to make room for a main street.

    So I had to move apart. Mr. Yang now lives in the suburbs near a beautiful park. His new apartment is much big than before. The only problem is that it took quite a long time to get to the downtown area. Therefore, Mr. Yang doesn't seem to worry about the long distance. He says that new subway line is to be built in a few year and he is sure life will be better in the future.

    “White pollution” was becoming g more and more serious. It is causing by plastic bags. In China about three billion plastic bags are used every a day, that results in a great waste of resources and heavy environmental pollution. Luckily, the government had forbidden people to using free plastic bags. The government demands all supermarkets should not provide customers to free plastic bags. This will undoubted reduce the use of plastic bags. But people should turn to cloth bags and baskets from now on. As students, we must try our best to use plastic bags again in order to keep “white pollution” off us campus.

    Today our class went out to do some clean. We gathered at the school gate and started out early on the morning. Some collected the rubbishes in the park. Some cleared the old posters off the walls and another swept the street. We hoped to make our city more beautifully with our own hands. At the same time, some of us went to the public places, which there were a lot of people. We kept on telling people not destroy the beauty of nature so that we could have the cleaner world.     My favourite English novel is The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn wrote by the American writer Mark Twain.

    This novel tells the story of Huckleberry, a boy who lost his parents when he was extreme young. Nobody took care of him, so he was very kind and always ready to helping others. One great thing he did is help a black slave called Jim escape from. They met lots of different people and many difficulties on their way, but in the end they made them.

    The novel is very popular for teenagers all over the world because it is a very interested adventure. Furthermore, it is recognised as first work of modern American literature.

    Sorry that I haven't been in the touch with you for a while. But I catch cold last week, and I've been in bed for four day. I'm feeling better today. Lucky my classes won't start till next week.
