When you have got a lot of stuff, decluttering(整理)your home can be really necessary. Decluttering is just about putting new systems into place in your life., you realize how great you feel about it, and you want to keep going.

Getting rid of things gives you time to look after yourself., or looking for the potato peeler—because everything has a home and you know exactly where it is—you're free to spend that time on yourself and your family. It's liberating.

. It has taken you a long time to get everything, and you won't be able to get rid of it all straight away. If you're pushed for time, there are easy ways of introducing decluttering into your life. Spend 10 minutes a day decluttering or, if that's not manageable, declutter three items a week.

Have three piles: one for things you're going to keep, one for things that are a maybe, and one for things you're going to give away. You will also need some bin bags, for rubbish. A revisiting pile is important if you're struggling to get rid of things.. More often than not, you end up saying, actually, I don't need that.

Stay focused. People often get sidetracked when they're trying to declutter. They start trying on clothes they had forgotten about, or looking at old photos. Another common mistake is to just move things from place to place, instead of getting rid of them..

A. Once you start decluttering

B. You need time to reflect on what to keep

C. Don't expect to declutter everything overnight

D. When you're not always looking for the scissors

E. If you realise that you own six wine openers, keep only one

F. Start the decluttering process before you move in with a new partner

G. You can just leave things there for a few weeks before a final decision

    London has become a cycle-friendly zone after the launch of a new bike hire scheme.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}First you have to sign up to the scheme to be sent a key. The key will unlock one of the bikes, which are kept at docking stations in and around central London. You have to pay an access fee for the key and then you pay as you go, for the length of time you use the bike.

Transport for London, which runs the scheme, are hoping to have 6,000 bikes and 400 docking stations in place by the end of the year. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}London Mayor Boris Johnston launched the scheme and said London has been “filled with thousands of gleaming (发光的) machines that will transform the look and feel of our street and become as commonplace on our roads as black cabs and red buses”.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} On the first day some people found they couldn't dock their bike properly and their usage of the bike had not registered. Transport for London did admit they had been expecting a few “teething problems” and have said they would not charge for the first day as a “gesture of goodwill”. Some other people have criticized the lack of docking stations and locks for the bikes as well as the price it costs to hire the bicycles.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#}“My crusade for the capital to become the greatest big cycling city in the world has taken a great pedal-powered push forwards.”

A. So how does it work?

B. How do you like it?

C. However, there have been a few problems since the scheme was launched last Friday.

D. Despite the comments, the green-thinking London Mayor still says with certainty.

E. However, the London Mayor is confident of the scheme.

F. It has been designed to encourage more people to cycle in and around central London.

G. The new hire system is hoping to ease congestion(拥挤) in London and is expected to create up to 40,000 extra cycle trips a day into the city centre.

My friends and I had one-week trip to Bali Island in June three months ago, which was really impressive.

It wasn't the typical trip by the sea with swimming suit at the beach. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} The rest of the days we would practice what we had learnt from the video with our coach, first in the pool, and then in the sea. Every day we had to dress ourselves up in the tight diving suit and a jacket with a heavy steel tank on the back

I wasn't how most people would imagine spending their holiday. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Not only did we appreciate beautiful view under the ocean, but we also felt less like tourists and more like professional divers as we learn more skills each day. This was more than just diving in life jackets. We were able to get away and explore underwater, swimming with turtles and other beautiful sea creatures in the ocean. “There are no mobile phones down there, no emails, no keys to lose, no birthdays to forget… {#blank#}3{#/blank#} The ocean is the last quiet place on Earth,” as a US journalist wrote in his book DEEP.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} When we had to fully concentrate on our breathing, we started to realized how we had been taking it for granted. We had never truly “felt” ourselves breathe before.

{#blank#}5{#/blank#} In fact, my friends and I are already planning another diving trip to the Red Sea in the coming winter holiday. Why not join us?

A. Of course we had dived in the sea before.

B. However, we really enjoyed every minute of it.

C. It's said that diving can be attractive yet I was unsure about it.

D. The experience also allowed us to get to know ourselves better.

E. All stress, noise and troubles of life are left at the surface of the sea.

F. I've become interested in diving and have no doubt about the attraction of diving.

G. Instead, we spent our first morning siting in a room watching teaching videos about diving.

Think like This When You Feel Stressed

It's a sweet opportunity. If you look on pressure as a threat, you are sure to be negatively impacted by its occurrence. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} They look on it as a great chance. They will cherish (珍惜) the pressure moment and approach it with confidence and enthusiasm.

    I'll get another chance. Under pressure, we often lose hope. We tend to distort (扭曲) the reality of the situation. One of the most common phrases is the “chance of a lifetime”, in which we tell ourselves, “I will never get an opportunity like this again, so I can't miss it. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

I'll do my best. This is what people who do their best under pressure tell themselves when they are going into a pressure moment. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Because it prevents them from wasting valuable energy worrying over things they can't influence and promotes confidence at the same time. Focusing on doing your best keeps you in the moment and guides your behavior toward success.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} People who perform their best in pressure will reduce the significance of the upcoming pressure moment, so they feel less stressed. Whether it's a sales call or an interview for their dream jobs, they are like winning athletes, and when asked how to handle the pressure of the big game, they responded, “It's just another game.”

I can control how I respond. People who do their best in a pressure moment focus on what they can control. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} If you have an upcoming interview, don't worry about the other applicants. You can't control them. Practice how you will handle an unexpected problem.

A. It's no big deal.

B. It stops you paying attention to anxiety.

C. Instead, take care of your own business.

D. Remembering past successes increases your confidence.

E. In fact, we have many chances to succeed in our lifetime.

F. But people who do their best in a pressure moment are different.

G. Focusing on doing your best quickly decreases pressure in the moment.

How can teenagers keep themselves from suffering from loneliness? Here are some suggestions for speeding a recovery from loneliness.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#} A smile and a friendly greeting for the student behind you in line at the cafeteria(餐厅) won't make you best friends. But it will make you both feel good. It also can make it easier to interact the next time, and the time after that.

Find a safe place to make connections. If going to the dancing party makes you feel like you just don't belong, try joining a special-interest group. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Just because you feel left out in one group doesn't mean you'll feel like an outsider in every other one. Look for a group that allows you to feel comfortable gradually.

Find other ways of making connections. Lonely people hunger for friendship. Sometimes feeling accepted and liked comes more easily when you do something for others rather than waiting for them to make you feel better. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Help a child in rending. Take notes for a disabled classmate. You might be surprised at the connections you make.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Loneliness is an absence of quality friendship, not of a particular quantity of friends. That's why it's important to know how to select a friend.

You get what you expect, so expect the best. If you expect others to be friendly, you will behave in proper ways that encourage people to be friendlier to you. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} But starting the first step of positive expectations can make all the difference.

A. Choose the right people.

B. Loneliness won't last long.

C. So consider becoming a volunteer.

D. Reach out to others but start small.

E. It can be hard work to be positive toward others.

C. Read up on the places you want to visit.

E. A good tourist is polite, positive and eco-sensitive.

F. We've cleaned up after ourselves and taken only good memories.

G. If we are good tourists, wherever we go, we try to make it a little better because of our visit.

How to Be a Good Tourist

We travel not only for work but also for fun and learning. New restaurants, galleries, temples and new architecture…These places are homes for people like us who live and work there. How would you want visitors to behave in your own home? Think about it. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} There are many ways of doing this without sacrificing our own holiday.

Do your homework. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Guides will help you when you get to the site, but is that the best place to go? Is it popular only because the one-day tourist can see it easily or because it is really a worthwhile place to visit? You'd better check it out.

{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Don't go to your hotels for meals. Walk around, even if in the streets closest to your hotel. Eat in local restaurants. Talk to the locals. Learn a few in the local language and use them. You will surely get a smile from the hotel staff and street sellers.

Help preserve the sites. Most of the sites you visit may be visited by millions of people a year, so care needs to be taken to allow others to enjoy them as well. Some of these monuments are so old and fragile that they are sensitive to the touch of hands or bags and shows. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} This way, you don't encourage the use of those plastic bags that fly all over many sites.

And here's the big one—good manners are nearly universal. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} If that doesn't sound like you, then give the world a break and stay home.
