China reached a milestone in space exploration on January 3, 2019. Chang'e-4  (successful) landed on the far side of the moon's surface.

This is the first time in history any country has performed a soft landing on the back of the moon. It is also a huge win for Chinese scientists who have been planning out this work for  (year).

Shortly after the lander's arrival, it sent back a photo of the Yutu rover (月球车)  (roll) slowly across the moon's dusty surface. As (expect), the lander will conduct a number of challenging tasks. It will observe the low-gravity environment and explore  there is water or other resources. Later, soil samples (collect) and returned to the earth. Scientists believe that the back of the moon is  (ancient) than the front, so the soil age is valuable for studying the early history of the moon.

Since the far side of the moon is quiet and free  electromagnetic interference (干扰) from the earth, it's a perfect place to research the space environment. Everything  (appear) to be working smoothly, and we can expect plenty of moon news out of China in the near future.

Old English differs much from the English we use today. Middle English is the name given to the English used from around the 12th {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the 15th centuries. Many things played a part in the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (develop) of this new type of English. The most important contribution was from the Normans, a French-speaking people who  {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (defeat) England and took control of the country in 1066. However, the Norman Conquest did not affect English as much as the Angels and the Saxons'victory about 600 years earlier, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} led to old English replacing Celtic. Even though the Normans spoke French for the entire 250 years they ruled England, French did not replace English as the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (one) language. On the other hand, the English language did borrow many words from French. This resulted in even {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (many) words with similar meanings, such as answer (from Old English) and reply (from Old French). Modern English appeared during the Renaissance in the 16th century.  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (pronounce) also went through huge changes during this period. Of course, this was not the end of the changes in the English language. The question of whether English will keep on changing in the future is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (easily) to answer. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} is certain that this process will continue, and people will keep {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (invent) new words and new ways of saying things.

根据上下文填写空白处所需的内容或所提供单词的正确形式,所填写词语不得多于3个单词。

Eating organic food will not make you healthier, according to researchers at Stanford University, although it could cut your {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(expose) to pesticides(杀虫剂). They looked at more than 200 studies of the content and {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(associate) health gains of organic(有机的) and non-organic foods. Overall, there {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(be) no difference in the nutritional content, although organic food was 30% less likely {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(contain) pesticides.

The researchers looked at 17 studies comparing people who ate organic {#blank#}5{#/blank#} those who did not and 223 studies {#blank#}6{#/blank#} compared the levels of nutrients, bacteria, and pesticides in various foods. However, none of the human studies ran for longer than two years, {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(make) conclusions about long-term{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(outcome) impossible. And all of the available evidence was{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(relative) weak and highly variable, which the researchers said was unsurprising because of all the different variables.

Dr Crystal Smith-Spangler, the lead researcher, said “Some believe that organic food is always healthier and more nutritious. But as {#blank#}10{#/blank#} matter of fact there isn't much difference between organic and conventional foods, if you're an adult and make decisions based simply on your health.”
