Lunch Made of Love
In those poor times, many of my classmates couldn't bring a nice meal to school for lunch. My deskmate's meal was always cabbages, while{#blank#}1{#/blank#} （我的）was ham and fried eggs. Sometimes, my deskmate would first pick the hair out of his lunch and then eat it as if {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（没事）had happened. This continued for a long time.
"His mother is so lousy（邋遢的）that her hair drops in the meal, "my classmates said. I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （想）it was really dirty, but I couldn't show that because I didn't want to hurt（伤害）his feelings. Still, I started to think that he was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} （肮脏）, too.
One day after school, he called me and said, "Would you like to come to my house if you are {#blank#}5{#/blank#}
Though I didn't want to go, I knew it would be impolite to refuse because this was his first invitation. Following my friend, we {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （到达）at a poor village.
"Mom, I brought my friend home. "
His old mother opened the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} （门）, "My son's friend is here. Let me have a look. "But to my {#blank#}8{#/blank#} （惊讶）, his mother was blind. She couldn't see anything.
I felt sad. Now I understood why my deskmate's lunch had hair in it. His mother got ready for it {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（仔细）for him every day, even though she was blind. It was not only a lunch, but also a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} （母亲）love.

    Last weekend I went to visit my grandma. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (虽然) her house is far from mine, I still decided to walk there. It was very sunny so I didn't take my {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (雨伞). However, on the way it began to rain hard. And soon I was all {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(湿的). When I was thinking about what to do next,  {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (幸运地), there came a taxi. I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (停) it and went into it quickly. When I arrived at my grandma's house, she was very surprised to see me.

     "Is it {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (必要的) for you to come here on foot?  Why didn't you drive your car here?" She asked.

   "Because I want to take more exercise." I answered.

     "Why did you come on {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (这样的) a rainy day?"

     "I came to tell you a piece of good news."

   "What good news?"

     "I  {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(赢) the first prize in the singing {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (比赛)."

     "Congratulations!" said my grandma excitedly, then she {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (给) me a warm blanket to wrap me.

    It is said that Friends are God's way of taking care of us. I can't agree more. So it is my favorite {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (谚语). And it always makes me think about my best friend Sherry.

    She and I have lots of interests in {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (相同). Both of us like shopping {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (在线). On weekends, we always {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (选择) to climb the mountain which is the highest in our city. We like the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (清新的) air there, and of course, it is a good way to be {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (健康的). However, Sherry is more outgoing and hard-working {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (比) me.

    This year she won the English speech {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (比赛) again. She always asks me to take the study {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (严肃地). If we both have free time, she will invite me to the library to enjoy reading. It is well known that a good friend is like a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (镜子). Just like Sherry. She is my true friend who reaches my hand and touches my heart.

    It was not long that I learned how important happiness was to life.

    On that day I went with my mum to the bank. I was bored. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (突然), a man dressed in old clothes caught my eyes. He was sitting between the doors of two factories. He was homeless, I was not {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (感兴趣的), for I had seen many like him before.

    Compared with other beggars, he was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (不同的) in some way. This man was not sitting down with a sad expression. He had a radio in his hand and was enjoying listening to the music happily. The radio {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (似乎)to be the best thing he had.

    “Mom, why does that man have a radio even {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (尽管) he's  homeless?” I asked.

    “He {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (买) it ,” she replied.

    “But if he's homeless with an {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (空的) stomach, why doesn't he use the money to buy food or clothes? He {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (浪费) it on something he doesn't need. ”

    “ Well, Sarah, sometimes food and clothes aren't the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (最) important things. We need happiness, too.”

    That man must care enough about music to buy a radio {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (代替) of food or clothes. I soon realized that happiness is the key to life. Without it, there's nothing to look forward to.

    Early rising is helpful in more than one way. First, it {#blank#}1{#/blank#} us to have good health. We all need fresh air. It makes our health better to take morning exercise. But air is never so fresh as early in the morning. Early rising helps us in our studies. In the morning we learn {#blank#}2{#/blank#} and find it easy to learn something {#blank#}3{#/blank#} heart. Early rising makes people able to plan the work for the day. We can not work well without a good plan. Just as, "The plan for a year should be made in spring, the plan for a day should be made in the morning." So the popular {#blank#}4{#/blank#} says, "Early to bed and early to rise makes man {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, wealthy and wise."
