Children don't go to school on Saturdays and Sundays, but they usually have homework to do over the weekend. Some do their homework on Friday afternoon.

   Saturday morning is a popular time for sports and other activities. A lot of schools have sports matches against other schools. Sports centres are usually very  b{#blank#}3{#/blank#}  too. They usually have classes for different things like tennis, basketball, swimming and so on.

  Saturday afternoon is normally the time for professional sports matches. There's always lots of sport on TV. Most rugby and football matches s{#blank#}4{#/blank#}  at three o'clock.

  In the evening, most people want some kind of entertainment(娱乐). Older teenagers go to the cinema or they go dancing at a club. At home, the television has many p{#blank#}5{#/blank#}for family entertainment, such as The X Factor Merlin or Doctor Who.

 On Sunday mornings, people often have alie-in (懒觉).  That means that they get up l {#blank#}6{#/blank#} than they do during the week. Some people go to church on Sunday mornings. Families often have a big Sunday lunch together. The meal is usually roast meat (beef, chicken, etc. ) with v{#blank#}7{#/blank#}  . And there's usually a big pudding, too.

 After that, a lot of adults spend the afternoon having a nap ( =sleeping) in front of the TV!

 Shopping centers are popular  p{#blank#}8{#/blank#}  to go on Sunday afternoons. All the big shops are open usually 11 a. m.  t0 5 p. m. ,b{#blank#}9{#/blank#} most smaller shops are closed all day.

  Then it's Sunday evening, and your parents say: Come on, it's school a {#blank#}10{#/blank#} tomorrow. So it's time to do your homework if you haven't done it yet, then pack yourschool bag and have an early night.

How did we help to save our earth this week? Let me tell you. First, my family tried to save{#blank#}1{#/blank#} . We never left the lights on when leaving the rooms. We turned off the TV when {#blank#}2{#/blank#} was watching it. Mum only used cold water in the washing machine. Second, we started {#blank#}3{#/blank#} this week. We tried to write on both sides of our paper, not just on one side. We also {#blank#}4{#/blank#} our rubbish into different bags. Mum kept the plastic shopping bags from the supermarket to use them {#blank#}5{#/blank#} rubbish bags. Third, my family started to save water. We stopped {#blank#}6{#/blank#} long baths and had short showers{#blank#}7{#/blank#}We washed the toilet with used water. Mum and dad used less water to do the washing. My sister and I didn't leave the tap running when we{#blank#}8{#/blank#} our teeth. At last, mum and dad began to save gas. Mum used to drive us to school, but now my sister and I started riding our bikes to school. It is{#blank#}9{#/blank#} work but good exercise. This week dad and a few of the people in his company also started to go to work in one car and share the costs.
These are great ways {#blank#}10{#/blank#} protect our environment.

    Lisa Hawkins loves riding her BMX bike （极限单车）and her dream is to go to the Olympics. And Lisa first got interested in BMX racing at the age of ten. Once she hired a bike for a pound immediately {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (fall) in love with the sport. "It was the best pound I ever spent," she says. A ceremony（仪式）where boys become crocodile（鳄鱼）men

    When does a teenager grow up and become an adult? In many countries, it happens on your 18^th {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（生日）, but in some parts of the world, you have to do something special to {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （进入）the world of grown-ups.

    On an Oceanian island, some people live near the Sepik River, which is {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（充满的）of crocodiles. They believe that crocodiles made the {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（地球）and its people. When it is time for teenage boys to become men, a "crocodile ceremony" takes place.

    The boys are taken to small house {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（叫作）the "Crocodile Nest". In the house, the boys are told to think of their crocodile "fathers and mothers". Old people in the village say that if the boys think of their crocodile parents, they will be stronger and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（勇敢的）because the ceremony will cause great pain. To take their minds off the pain, the boys tell jokes in the house, rather than just stay {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（沉默的）. Surprisingly, some of the boys even sleep {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（在……期间）the most painful parts of the ceremony! It will be {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（八）weeks before they leave the house.

    When the boys {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（最后）leave the crocodile house, there is singing and dancing in the village to welcome the new crocodile men.
