Adam Braun set up the organization(组织) Pencils of Promise in2008. Its goal is to make sure all children have a chance for education. Six years later , the non-profit organization is building a new school somewhere every 90 hours.It has helped more than 22.000 children in Africa,Asia and Latin America.

 It all started when Adam Braun was a college student. He was visiting India when a boy stopped him and asked for money on the street, Mr. Braun asked the boy what he would want, if he could have anying in the world.

“I thought the answer was going to be  'a house' or 'a car' or 'a boat'.His answer was 'a pencil'.So I gave him my pencil and he was just happy and excited . I  realized he never had been to school before ,and that was the reality(现实) for 57 million children around the world. " Braun said.

 Adam Braun started working in finance(金融) after he graduated from college, But he never forgot the boy and the problem he realized.

“We live in a world in which every child can have a chance to get a good education ,because we have everything necessary already.We are able to educate every child .  So I promised to help create that world .” Braun said.

  Mr Braun raised money for his project. He paid for building the first Pencils of Promise school,in Laos, five years ago. Since then ,his organization has helped pay for more than 200 schools in the countryside of Laos,Nicaragua,Guatemala and Ghana.

    The film is very exciting and dramatic(戏剧性的), but it is also romantic(浪漫的) and very sad. It is about the ship, the Titanic, which sank in the Atlantic in 1912. It is a love story. The two famous stars are Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslett. They fall in love on the ship, but are not allowed to be together as she is rich and he is poor. Leonardo is excellent as poor, handsome Jack and Kate Winslett is perfect as rich and beautiful Rose. The best thing about the film is the part where the ship is sinking. This love story doesn't have a happy ending.

    Flubber is a comedy. Starring(主演) Robin Williams is a forgetful scientist. He is very forgetful and he even forgets his own wedding(婚礼)! Flubber is the name of the amazing(令人惊奇的) green stuff(物品) that he invents. The plot(情节) is about two bad men who try to steal both Flubber and the scientist's girlfriend. The scientist has lots of silly adventures(历险) with Flubber, and he is really funny as the mad scientist. The best thing about the film is the special effects as Flubber changes into all different shapes and sizes and even does a dance routine(舞蹈动作). It's really an enjoyable film.

    Do you know Chen Yixun? He is a great singer from Hong Kong. He has a lot of beautiful songs, so many people love him. This year Chen Yixun gives concerts (演唱会) in some cities in China. And on November 7 the concert is in Jiaxing.

    Food is life; it gives us the nourishment(营养) we need to stay alive and be healthy. Usually, we eat because we are hungry or need energy. Brian Wansink, a professor at the University of Illinois, says we also eat certain foods because they make us feel good, and remind us of happy memories. Wansink calls this kind of food comfort food. For some people, ice cream is a comfort food. For others, a bowl of noodles makes them feel good.

    How does a food became comfort food? Professor Wansink believes that we connect food with important times, feelings, and people in our lives. "When I was a child, my mother made a kind of delicious soup; I loved it. Now, I often eat this kind of soup when I am tired or worried, and it helps me feel better," says one of Wansink's friends.

    Do men and women choose different comfort foods? Wansink's research at the University of Illinois says "yes". In his study, the favourite comfort food for both men and women was ice cream. After this, men usually preferred hot, delicious foods like soup or noodles. Women liked sweet things such as chocolate and candies. Men and women like to eat comfort foods when they are happy, but women eat these foods more when they are sad or worried.
