    I felt sadly yesterday when our teacher told us something about Project Hope. It has set up to help the children in the countryside which can't afford to go to school. After school I went home. I was wondering if I could do something for the Project then I caught a sight of my money-collecting box on the table. Then I made up my minds to send my pocket money which I had saved for nearly one year for the children who want to go to school. I wrote a letter to him and hurried to the post office.     My first trip to the zoo was years before during an elementary school field trip. It is an activity I still remembered to this day. It was for the first time that I had found me so close to animals like tigers and lions. I would say that the trip was worth every minute of time spending. However, some feel that animals should not be kept in cages, and should rather be let out in the wild. They think keeping animal in cages shows the cruel of human beings. As far as I concerned, without zoos, many of us would never have the chance to see how a tiger or lion really looks like.

    Last weekend, after pay a visit to the city of New York, I visited the Smithsonian Institutions National Air and Space Museum, where lies in Washington, D.C.

    The museum, which covers a area of 18,000 square meters, is made of 24 exhibition halls. All kinds of planes, rockets, missiles and spaceship of great importance and variously old instruments that famous pilots and astronauts used are on display. In addition, I see copies of some satellites and aircraft. More interestingly, I tried operating on some aircraft by myself. During the visit, I took lots of pictures as well.

    This brief visit helped myself learn much about the history of human's space exploration. It made me more interesting in science and technology.

    Li Bai was a great poet in the Tang Dynasty of China. It's said that in his childhood, he was very fond playing and afraid of difficulties, and made no effort in her studies. one day, in his way home after school, he walked by a creek and saw the old woman grinding a very, very thick iron rod. Being curious, he went to the old woman and ask, "Old grandma, why are you grinding this iron rod?" The old woman replied, "To making a needle."     Last week I along with my classmates was asked to attend a lecture, the theme of whom was environmental protection. It was gave by a university professor. The professor first had us to come up with the problems the earth was facing with. Then he offered some suggestions on what we could do to save your planet in an effective way. Late after the lecture, I also searched the Internet about more information on this topic. Up to now, I learnt that the air pollution is universal and what we are likely to run out of some natural resources. To make things worst, climate change is becoming a great threat to human beings.
