I'm on holiday here in Switzerland with my parents and I'm having {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Fantastic time. We're staying in a hotel near a lake and I can see snowy mountain  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (peak) from my bedroom.

    I've never been to the mountains before and I love {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. It's also the first time I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (stay) in a hotel. My father isn't very happy though. He {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (forbid) to smoke in the hotel so he has to go outside!

    We go mountain climbing with a guide. You don't have to go with a guide but it's {#blank#}6{#/blank#}．(safe).

    Yesterday we went {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a boat trip around the lake. It suddenly started to rain heavily. It was fun but a bit {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (frighten).

    The best thing of all is the beautiful scenery. The worst is{#blank#}9{#/blank#} I can't go out at night. Not because my parents won't let me but because there's nowhere {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (go).

    Seborga(塞波加) is a small village that declared itself independent in the 1960s, claiming it was never{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(proper) incorporated(合并) into Italy{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (it) founders argued that the deal was not really registered. They claimed that it could therefore not{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(consider) part of the nation.

    The principality's(公国) founder was a flower grower{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (call) Giorgio Carbone, who ruled until his death in 2009. Its independence is not recognised outside {#blank#}5{#/blank#}village but Mr. Dezzani, a campaigner(竞选者) for the throne, says it is important that they themselves believe{#blank#}6{#/blank#} it, describing it as “a state of mind”.

    This unusual story{#blank#}7{#/blank#} was the subject of a televised documentary, has attracted tourism to the region. Its current ruler, Marcello I, appears publicly {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (wear) a suit but Mr. Dezzani wants to introduce ceremonial uniform.

Mr. Dezzani added: “Without being too pretentious or{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (show) about it, I think we can promote the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (value) of peace, tolerance and openness.”

    To this day, Kevin Hart still recalls the exact moment he learned this lifelong lesson{#blank#}1{#/blank#} he says came about one afternoon while he was under the care of his after-school babysitter,{#blank#}2{#/blank#} kind, grandmotherly woman named Miss Davis.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (typical), Han helped Miss Davis with housework after school. One day, however, Han skipped the housework and joined some friends {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a “game” of throwing rocks at passing cars.

    As it went, one of the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (stone) Hart threw broke a car window. On seeing this, Hart and his friends{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (flee) from the scene. The car stopped and the driver stepped out to find who did it. Eventually, his friends all pointed to Hart. “They threw me under the bus so fast!” he says.

News of the incident quickly made {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (it) way to Miss Davis.

    He spent the rest of the day in panic, fearing what {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (happen) when Davis told his mother.

    Yet, Miss Davis never told. Her act gave Hart an important lesson about trust. “You've got to give trust{#blank#}9{#/blank#} (get) trust,” he says. He was so{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(thank) that he never got into trouble as a teenager from then on, all because of Miss Davis.

    Strange things happened {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Tangshan Earthquake happened. The well walls had deep cracks. A smelly gas came out of them. The water pipes {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (crack) and burst. At 3:42  {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the morning of July 28, 1976, everything began to shake. It seemed as if the world was at {#blank#}4{#/blank#} end. Steam burst from holes in the ground. Hard hills of rock became rivers of  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  (dirty). Soon the whole city lay in {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(ruin). Many people died or were {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (injure). Everything in the city was destroyed. People were {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (shock) at this and wondered how long the disaster would last. The army organized teams to dig out those {#blank#}9{#/blank#} were trapped and to bury the dead. Workers built shelters for {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (survive). Fresh water was taken to the city. Slowly the city began to breathe again.

    Once, three men got {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (lose) in the forest. They decided they would stay in the forest until they found {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (they) way. The next morning, one man went to find some food. Soon, the other two men were {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (surprise) to find him back with a deer and asked how he got the deer. The man replied, “I found tracks, I followed the tracks, and I got a deer.” They both were {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (slight) confused because he had no weapons. A few days {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (late), the second guy went in search {#blank#}6{#/blank#} food and soon came back with a deer too. The other two asked how he managed {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (get) the deer. His reply was {#blank#}8{#/blank#} same as the first man's. Then it was the turn of the third guy to search for food. Many hours passed, and the third man {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (hold) nothing in his hands came back, with blood on his face. The other two asked him {#blank#}10{#/blank#} had happened. He looked at them and relied, “I found tracks, I followed the tracks, and I got hit by a train.”
