        A champion (冠军) bodybuilder in his youth, Toshisuke Kanazawa retired at the age of 34.

        He stopped exercising completely and started smoking and eating whatever he liked. He would often look at himself in the mirror and wondered if that was the body of national bodybuilder champion. At that time, his wife felt sick and sad. He remembered that she was always very happy when he won the national championship. In order to make his wife happy again, he got motivation(动机)to get back on the horse when he was 50. He decided to go back into the gym.

        He had to give up smoking and drinking and adopt (适应) a based diet on rice, soybeans and egg soup but no meat or fish because they were too difficult to digest (消化) . In his youth, he spent six hours training in the gym every day. His training time had to be based on his age. He cut the daily gym time three hours, and started giving his body one week to recover after exercising every muscle group.

        Kanazawa stared seeing the results of his hard work soon after great lifestyle change, but here was one effect of ageing--bodybuilding couldn't recover completely-loose(松弛)skin. So he started using oil obtained from horses, which he still uses today to keep his skin tight. In 2016, at 80, Toshisuke Kannazawa won sixth place in a competition for bodybuilders in the world over 65, and won a special gold medal as the oldest competitor.

        Can you show your city through a camera? Here are some works: photos of their favorite people, places and things, from flowers to friends, and trees to trains. The photos make up an exhibition that is the result of a special citywide(全市的) photography lesson called "Everyday D.C. "I love that D.C. is a place where people can come together and be free and be with everyone that they love, " said Lauryn Tharpe, one of the four student curators (策展人) who worked with their art teacher at Brookland Middle School to put the exhibition together. here's more to D.
