Amy did not have any friends and felt sad. All the girls in her class were 1 with a best friend or in groups, and she always felt left out. So, Amy just walked around2instead of playing with anyone.     Sam was very nervous. It was his first day in a new1, and lunch was only thirty minutes away. For most students, lunch is the2part of the school day. It is time when you talk with your friends, get to know what interesting things everyone is doing, and, of course,3. Sam, however, didn't know anyone or anything, like where to sit or with whom to sit at lunch.

    Lee grew up in New York City. 4 his family was not rich, he learned from a young age the importance of 5 the waste of food. When in college, he was part of a student group that gave out leftover(剩余的)food to 6 people. This experience made him realize how 7 the problem of food wastage actually was.

     Roger caught hold of the driver. With all his strength, Roger12pulled him out and swam towards the surface.

     I tried to follow, 13the water was turning black in front of me. I was falling. I thought.

     Back to the bank, Roger looked at me, "You OK?" I managed to nod. "Not bad for a shrimp." he joked.

     It was then that I realized Roger was not "a fat whale" at all.

    Most of us like to know where we are and where we're going. It can feel strange to be1. The words "being lost" make us think of a dark and scary wood or street, 2 that's not always the case.

    Once we were on holiday in Venice. My dad planned to go out to take photos early the next morning. Mum wasn't 3, but I would go with him, only because he 4 I could have the biggest ever bowl of Italian ice cream if I did. 5 else would I get up so early?!

    So at 5 a.m. the next day we left the hotel and started walking in the 6 streets. When the sun came up, Dad started taking photos and I 7 him, down small streets and over little bridges.
