China has built the world's fastest computer, the Sunway TaihuLight. It is the first time that China has come at the top{#blank#}1{#/blank#}using US technology. The Sunway TaihuLight{#blank#}2{#/blank#}Chinese—developed Shen Wei processors (中央处理器). The new system was{#blank#}3{#/blank#}at the National Supercomputing Centre in Wuxi. Jiangsu Province.

    China has the{#blank#}4{#/blank#} supercomputers on the TOP500 list with 167 systems. The US is second with 165 and Japan is{#blank#}5{#/blank#}with 129. Germany is fourth with 26 systems, and France is next with 18，followed by Britain with 12.

    China has made great {#blank#}6{#/blank#}in super computing. It had no {#blank#}7{#/blank#}on the TOP500 list in 2001. In 2003，China's fastest supercomputer was only 51st in the world. Now China has two supercomputers in the{#blank#}8{#/blank#}10 of the TOP500 list.
