    I couldn't believe my ears when I heard my name calling. I was chosen to play the leading role in the play, that was my dream. As a shy and thin girl, I was used to be quite afraid of speaking in the public. But my parents and teachers always encourage me to do so. Now I have changed great. In class, I am often the first one to stand up and answer questions even if I may take some mistakes. No pains, no gains. Now I am always brave enough overcome the difficulty in my heart and have changed in a lively girl. But my experience shows that we should not be afraid of losing faces and only in this way can we make progresses.

    My first stay at home alone was very memorable. One day when I was twelve, both my mother and father were away on the business and I had to be all with my self for two days. My parents left early the first day, I got up soon after they left. The first evening I was a little scare, so I turned on all the light. I actually keep the light on in my bedroom the whole night, that finally put me at ease. For fear of get up late the next morning, I put three alarm clocks near my bed and set the alarm respectively at 6: 00, 6:10, and 6: 15. In order to prove that I could take good care of me, I washed my own clothes the next day, though I could wait for Mum to do it. I really felt proudly of myself and thought I had grown up.

    There are lots of experience in our life. The most unforgettable one for me is the speech competition holding last year. I'm interested in English. When my English teacher told me that I had chosen to take part in the speech competition, I devoted me to the preparation. I was determined to win the first prize. I was such nervous when I stood on the stage that I forgot everything. Not until I caught a sight of my teacher did I calm down. Finally, I do a good job. When I heard I got the first prize, my heart was filled in joy and tears rolled down. Through this speech competition, I understand that it is confidence which makes people succeeded.

    Last summer, I had a valuable experience working like a volunteer in the community hospital. I worked from July 15 to July 31, when elderly over 55 were given freely medical examinations. Every day I arrive early and organized the people who came over. Then I would help him fill in the forms. Lead them to the different departments was also one of my duty. Everyone there worked in a tight schedule. By the time their examinations were over, I was already bathing in sweat. Tired though I was, but I benefited a lot from the experience as I built up my confident and improved my communication skills.

    Have you ever had headaches during a test? Have you ever been too concerned about something that you even can't sleep at night? If so, then you know that stress is. Too much stress can result in angry, depression and other related problems, which we need to take them seriously.

    However, not all stress was harmful to you. Some kinds of stress can help you getting things done better, like when you are running towards the finishing line or when you are asking to deliver a speech to your class. Stress sometimes can push you to make full preparation for a test.

    The best approach reducing stress is to have a balanced life. If you get enough sleep, eat proper, take more exercise and have enough fun time, you might feel less stressed.
