Because there is a famous festival in Dazhou, which called Yuanjiu Mountain Climbing festival.(元九登高节) This festival is related with a poet as well as an official in Tang Dynasty. His name was Yuan Zhen and people called him Yuan Jiu later. In A. D. 815, Yuan Zhen did something wrong with his job, so he was sent to Tongzhou, which was a poor and remote place in ancient China. To remember Yuan Zhen, all people in Dazhou go out in groups and climb hills on that day. So we must learn how to protect ourselves better. Here are some tips for keeping safety in mind every day.
On our way home or to school Wait for the green traffic light, and look left and right before we cross the road, we'd better war bright-color clothes, so the divers can see us easily. Don't believe in strange people in the street.
At school: When students around us begin to push other, we need to stand sill and try to hold onto something, or stay in a comer until the crowd(人群) leaves. If we fall down in crowd use both hands to cover the head. Lean(斜靠)to one side, curl up(蜷缩)our body and bend(弯曲)the legs.
In a fire: Stay calm. Leave the classroom quickly under the directions or the teachers. Smoke can be more dangerous than fire, so use a piece of cloth to cover our mouth and nose. What will we do if the clothes burn? Remember not to run! Drop and fall to the ground. Then roll! It will make the fire go out.
For eating: Wash fruits carefully before eating them. Check the expiration dates (保质期)on the packages of the snacks, and if it looks or smells bad, don't eat it.

Mo Ya, Nobel Prize winner in literature (文学)in 2012, believes his success comes from a large amount of reading.
Mo was born into a farming family in a village in Shandong Province. Mo left school at the age of 12 and started to work in the fields. Mo was tired after his daily hard work, but he was always hungry for books. However, there were very few books in the village, he never gave up. He read his elder brother's textbooks and even dictionaries. He helped others with farm work in exchange for books.
After Mo left his hometown and joined the army in 1976, he began to read widely, including works by Lu Xun and many other famous writers. He studied from these writers but did not copy them. Instead, he developed his own style.
