Tuesday was like any other day for Morgan Bieley, 15. It was the fourth period, and she was the first student to arrive in the gym for her P.E. class. （1）{#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    "There was a sharp cracking noise and then a loud boom. After that, I didn't remember anything,"said Morgan.

    The roof（屋顶）of the gym had fallen down under the heavy snow. Morgan couldn't get away. "I woke up and there was a big piece of wood on my leg. （2）{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. I was starting to get cold."

    Luckily, help was nearby. A new program using "rescue（救援）robots" was tried for the first time.

    The robot was able to go into the gym and find Morgan's place. "Once we made sure where Morgan was and knew it was safe, our men went into rescue her,"says Sneed. "Her leg was broken and she was scared, but thankfully, she was alive."

The frightened horse had run past him as he worked in the field that morning. He would have helped it whether it belonged to the queen or not .But he had to admit that getting a reward was nice.

    Two of the queen's men appeared. One carried a mirror. Red jewels shone on top of the minor's silver frame. The other carried wooden care with a chicken inside it.

    "Only one reward can be yours," the queen said" Choose wisely"" That's easy.” Peter said.” I will take the chicken.” Some of the queen's men laughed. It was clear that they thought he had made a foolish choice.

    “And why did you choose the chicken? The queen asked.” Well, I don't know much about jewels," Peter answered.” But I do know about chickens. The chicken will provide eggs for my family for a long while.”

    Queen Olivia smiled.” Then you did make a wise choice." she said.“ That mirror may look fancy. But the jewels you see are only colored glass, and the frame is painted silver. The chicken is much more valuable." Peter took the chicken and bowed." Thank you, your majesty“

“You are a smart child, ”the queen added. “I could use a smart boy to help take care of my horses. Would you like to take the job?” Peter smiled. “Thank you very much!” he said excitedly. A job at the castle paid well. Now his family would eat well for the rest of their lives—all because   ⑹     !

    For breakfast, I have two eggs and some bread. I don't like milk, but I have some milk too. Because milk is healthy. For lunch, I have rice with meat and vegetables. Chicken is my favourite meat.     The computer lab is just on the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}of the main entrance. You can enter computers by putting into the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} of your student ID card. There are 4{#blank#}4{#/blank#} copy machines in the library. The circulation desk on the left of the main entrance is a place to borrow and return books from general stacks. The reading area is in the middle of the library. A water fountain is between the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and the cellphone area. They're all on the right.

    If you want to ask for more help, you can go to the librarian's office.

    Almost everyone likes apple pies in the USA. An apple pie is easy to make, so many people make it at home. You just need apples, flour (面粉), sugar, butter and spices(调味品).

    To make an apple pie, first peel and cut the apples into pieces. Then mix them with spices and put them in a pie tin (罐). Next put butter, sugar and flour in. Put the mixture on the apple pieces and bake the pie for about 30 minutes. The smell of the apple pie is great.

    There are many different ways to make apple pies. Some families have their own secret (秘密) ways and don't tell other people about them. Pies made with berries( 浆果) are also very popular in America. But the apple pie perhaps (也许) is the dessert that everyone loves best.
