    Bike sharing is growing in popularity as a means of public transportation. It seems like a perfect solution{#blank#}1{#/blank#}China's heavy traffic.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}some local authorities(权威人士)say the bikes have become a nuisance and one Shanghai district has confiscated(没收)almost 5,000 bikes. The unregulated parking has caused continuous problems and{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(complain). Traffic police had confiscated the bikes because they had been {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(legal)parked.

    Shanghai is the world's largest bikeshare city with 280,000 shared bikes citywide. That number is expected{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(jump)to 500,000 by this June, according to Guo Jianrong, Secretary General of Shanghai Bicycle Association.

    Li worked as a miner for more than ten years. Earlier this year, he discovered sugar painting, something he really had an interest in.

Li loved painting when he was young, and he found it easy to learn the skill in sugar painting. He soon mastered the skill and could make{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(vary) of sugar paintings. A sugar painting is made with{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(melt) brown or white sugar. Craftsman{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(basic) paint animals and flowers on a stone board with the syrup(糖浆). When the sugar cools down,{#blank#}10{#/blank#} appears is a piece of sugar art.

    At the beginning, written Chinese was a picture-based language. It dates back several thousand years to the use of animal bones and shells on which symbols {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (carve) by ancient Chinese people. Some of the ancient symbols can still be seen in today's hanzi.

    By the Shang Dynasty, these symbols {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (become) a well-developed writing system. Over the years, the system developed into different forms, as it was a time when people were divided geographically, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (lead) to many varieties of dialects characters. This, {#blank#}4{#/blank#}, changed under the rule of Emperor Qinshihuang of the Qin Dynasty.

    Written Chinese has also become an important means by {#blank#}9{#/blank#} China's present is connected with its past. People in modem times can read the classic {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (work) which were written by Chinese in ancient times. The high regard for the Chinese writing system can be seen in the development of Chinese characters as an art form, known as Chinese calligraphy, which has become an important part of Chinese culture.
