Waste can be seen everywhere and it can bring a lot of problems. China is rich in some resources(资源),   {#blank#}1{#/blank#} we are short of others, for example, fresh water. It is said that we will have no coal(煤) or oil to use  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}   100 years. Also there is not enough food in some areas. So if we keep  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}   our resources, what can we use in the future and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}   can we move? Think about it, I think we should  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  “no” to the people who waste things every day.

In our everyday life, we can do many things {#blank#}6{#/blank#} waste from happening. For example, remember to turn{#blank#}7{#/blank#} the lights when we leave the room and we'd better use both {#blank#}8{#/blank#} of paper. Also we should try not to order {#blank#}9{#/blank#} food than we need and so on. Little by little, everything will be changed, waste can be stopped one day if we do {#blank#}10{#/blank#} best.

    Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa．And it is home to four{#blank#}1{#/blank#} (百万)people．However，it may also be the first major city in the world to run out of water．The city's water{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (主要地)comes from six reservoirs(水库)．They hold about 870，000 cubic meters of water．But in the last three years，the city has {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (面临)the worst problem in a century．These reservoirs now have just 26％of the water, according to National Geographic．

    A government{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(官员)in Cape Town is telling people to save water．Or, the city will have to cut off water to homes and businesses．Tile day of that cutoff is being called "Day Zero"．The city said "Day Zero" could fall on{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(七月)9^th ， the New York Times reported．But the date may{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(改变)according to the water levels of the city's reservoirs．On "Day Zero"，people will only be{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(有能力的)to get water from 200 water-collection points across the city．Every person will only be allowed about 0.02 cubic meters of water a day．

    The city's government is rushing to{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(解决)the problem．It has set up{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(工厂)to turn seawater into drinkable water．It is also {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(再同收)more used water in the hope that "Day Zero" will come later．Or it will not appear at all．
