Mr．Young worked in a hospital in the capital．He was busy all the time and little time to have a rest．And one day he felt unwell and couldn't go on working．He decided to spend a week's holiday in a quiet village where he could go swimming or fishing．He got off at a small railway station and soon got to the village．He took a room hotel and went to sleep as soon as he had a good meal．

At first Mr．Young enjoyed himself there．He could do everything he wanted and went wherever he liked．Nobody disturbed（打扰） him and knocked at the door at mid﹣night．But on the fourth day he was in trouble．After lunch it was very hot．He went swimming in the river．Suddenly he saw a beautiful bird in a big tree．He wanted to catch it and walked to it，but it found him and flew away and soon was gone．He began to pick some flowers in the forest and before long he lost his way．

The sun had gone down and night had fallen before Mr．Young found a small restaurant in another village．He came in and told them to bring him some bread，two eggs and a glass of tea．After a while his food was brought．

Soon he ate up all the bread and eggs．When he was going to have the tea，he found there was a fly in the glass．

I'm a girl, Rosie. Racing on the 1,500-meter track (跑道), I'm so tired. I want to stop but a voice is repeating in my head, "No one knows what the result will be. Everything is still possible." Today, I have to fight with myself.

Nine years ago, when I was a 6-year-old girl, my mother took me on a trip. We went to the foot of a high mountain which she told me that we would climb. I had never done this before and the thought of it made me very happy.

At the beginning, I was so excited, and climbed fast. But half an hour later, when I was thirsty and tired, I just stopped and sat on the ground, completely silent. My mom came and sat next to me.

She said, "Get up and go on!"

Crying, I almost shouted, "Never! It's too tiring and I am thirsty. I want to go back home now."

Patiently she explained, "Listen, my dear. If you try your best, anything is possible. If you don't try, your dream will never come true. You will never know how beautiful the sights look unless you reach the top of the mountain."

Hearing her words, I stopped crying and started to climb again. Finally I did reach the top of the mountain and enjoyed the fantastic view.

Today I'm on the racing track. I'm going to keep running because I know it's always valuable. And in the end I made it — I got through the finish line.

The next day, Donny's parents bring Rusty to the hospital. When they put the dog on Donny's bed, Donny opens his eyes and takes the dog in his arms.

Donny's parents bring Rusty to the hospital every day. One day, Rusty jumps on Donny's bed and scratches Donny's arm. Donny says his first words, "Bad dog!"

After seven weeks Donny is well. He leaves the hospital and goes home. Rusty goes home with him.
