语法填空

Most of us use memes(表情包) when (talk) to our friends on WeChat or QQ. And  all the file formats(文件格式). GIF is probably the most popular.

A GIF is usually short funny video that only lasts for a few seconds.

The GIF turned 30 this year, is even two years older than the World Wide Web itself. Ever since the GIF (create) in 1987, it has long been overlooked. It wasn't until the age of smartphones and social media it became part of our daily lives.

The GIF does a  (good) job of showing people's feeling than short text messages do. It is also a very small file format compared with regular videos, which helped it become popular among smartphone  (use).

Because of its (popular), Oxford Dictionaries name “GIF” the word of the year in 2012. There are even search services specifically(专门地) for GIFs, such as Tenor and Giphy. And if we can't find anything we like there is easy to create our own GIFs on apps like DSCO and Giphy Cam.

Twenty-five years ago, most young British people wanted a career in law, to be a doctor, or to take up singing. But today, things stand {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(different).

According to a recent survey, the "dream job" of young people {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(age) between 16 and 25 in the UK is a video blogger, or "vlogger(视频博主)". The survey, carried out among 1, 002 people, found that over 40% of them put vlogger as their number one choice on a list of dream {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(career).

The change is largely due to the rapid development of information technology (IT). The Internet and social media have made it {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(easy) and more convenient to reach a global audience, without having to enter a career in show business in the traditional way.

"In the past, the biggest stars {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(make) by the Hollywood studios; now, anyone with a computer camera may become a star, " said Phil Samuels, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} expert from the UK. "From fashion to comedy, these self-made stars interact online with their fans about everyday life. "

However, what people see {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(be) only the bright side of being a vlogger and they ignore the fact {#blank#}8{#/blank#} only those who are successful can gain fame and fortune. Actually, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} every success there are a hundred others who never get off the starting block. This is why some young people still show {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(prefer) for traditional jobs.
