    Students today should do more reading. Indeed, the importance of reading can never be very stressed. Beside, reading is also a way of relaxation. This is very refreshing to read a story before going to bed, or after a day of the study. There were many famous sayings about reading, like “Reading is to the mind that exercise is to the body.” Then how can we develop the habit of reading?     New college life is approached. I'm glad to hear that there will be six clubs for me to join in. Among those six clubs, the drawing club is my favorite one, that I'd most like to choose. On the one hand, I have been learning to draw for several years, but I hope the club can give me more chance to show my talent. Maybe I can have my own exhibitions and become a famously artist one day. On other hand, I expect to make more friends who has the same hobbies. Dear Editor,

    I'm the only daughter of my parents. So they worried about everything I do. For example, when I ride my bike, my parents won't let me ride by myself. They are afraid of I might fall off my bike and hurt myself. Instead, they are taking great trouble to support a bike, with my mother even carrying a first-aid box. I'm not free to ride and I often say angry, 'Why not let me ride alone?' Now, most family have one child. Parents want to do everything for his children. This does no good on them. Too much love from parents may prevent children from become independent. In my opinion, parents should let their children do that they should do alone.

    This year, our school called on us students to make a good use of our time and do some socially practice during the holiday, so I found a job and began to work in a small restaurant. I thought it was easy, and it turned out to be a hard one by a matter of fact. I spend the whole morning washing dish and setting tables. I didn't have lunch until it was two in the afternoon. After lunch, I immediately began to work again, does the same things until 11 pm. It took myself more than ten hours a day to work there! However, through the hard work, I've come to understand the value of hard work. I've also realized what difficult it is my parents to support the family. Therefore, I am now determined to study harder to repay my parents.
