Mr. White is a farmer. He lives on a farm.

    In spring, it's warm and rainy. He plants(种植)crops(庄稼). And the crops like the rain.

    In summer, it's hot and sunny. And the crops like the sun. They are tall and green.

    In autumn, it's cool and windy. The crops are yellow. Mr. White harvests the crops. He is busy but happy.

    In winter, it's cold and snowy. He has nothing to do. So he stays at home.

    He is a happy farmer. He likes his job and his lire very much.

Jenny: Yesterday we bought gifts. Tomorrow is Christmas. We are going to open our gifts. Today we are going to put up the Christmas tree. Let's ask Danny to help us put up the Christmas tree.

Li Ming: Okay!

Jenny: Hello, Danny. Would you like to help us put up our Christmas tree?

Danny: Sure!

Jenny: First, we are going to put the lights on the tree. Then we are going to put Christmas things on the tree. Danny, would you like to put the star on the tree?

Danny: Yes, the star always goes on top!

Jenny: Now, let's put our gifts under the tree. There! It's done!

Li Ming: It's beautiful!

    Li Ming wants to buy some gifts for his mother and cousin in China. He goes to a shop. He buys two dresses for his cousin and some dishes for his mother. Now he needs some boxes. Jenny gives the boxes to Li Ming. Li Ming says thanks to Jenny and writes letters to his mother and cousin. Then Li Ming goes to the post office and buys four stamps. He thinks that his mother and cousin will like the gifts. He walks back to his house. He feels happy.

    Good morning. This is the world weather report. It's warm in Beijing today. Children can play football outside. It's cold in New York. And it's snowy. Children can make a snowman. It's cool in Toronto. Children can fly a kite. It's hot in Sydney. Children can swim in the sea.

Stephen Hawking

    Stephen Hawking was born in 1942 in England. When he was a child, he was very clever. He helped his teachers install (安装) computers.

    At the age of 21, Hawking got an illness. He could only "speak" using a computerized voice(电脑语音), but he did not give up(放弃). In 1988, Hawking wrote a famous book. It is A Brief History of Time: From the Big Bang to Black Holes(《时间简史：从大爆炸到黑洞》)． The book talks about the universe(宇宙). Where did it come from? How will it end? What does it look like? You can read the book to find out more.

    Hawking visited China three times. He had many fans in China.  Hawking told Chinese children to stay curious and confident (保持好奇和自信).

    On March 14th, 2018, the great scientist passed away(逝世) in the UK. He studied the universe in his whole life. He also wrote many famous science books. He said, "Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet."
