World Read Aloud Day is celebrated each year on the first Wednesday of March. It {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(start) by the LitWorld. Org website in 2010 and has now reached 65 countries, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} aim is to encourage people worldwide who cannot read to enjoy the benefits of a book. The website asks everyone {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (celebrate) the day by taking a book, finding an audience, and reading out aloud. It is about taking action to show the world that the right to read and write {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (belong) to all people.

        The website asks visitors to join in the movement to reduce the number of illiterate (不识字的) people in the world. It is {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (absolute) necessary to help those who cannot read. The website says, “It's time to start by reading aloud to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} might like it. Share a book with a child who might need it, share a story with someone who would treasure it, listen patiently {#blank#}7{#/blank#} someone else's story as they share with you.” The United Nations says, “Literacy involves a variety of learning in {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (able) individuals to achieve their goals, to develop their knowledge, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to participate fully in society.”  In that way, World Read Aloud Day {#blank#}10{#/blank#} help make a difference.

    Mark was walking home from school one day {#blank#}1{#/blank#} he noticed that the boy ahead of him had tripped and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (drop) all of the books he was carrying. Mark knelt down and helped the boy pick up the scattered {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (article). Since they were going the same way, he helped to carry part of the burden. As they walked, Mark discovered the boy's name was Bill, and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} he loved video games, baseball, history and so on. They arrived at Bill's home first and Mark {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (invite) in for a Coke and to watch some television. The afternoon passed {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (pleasant) with a few laughs and some {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (share) small talks, and then Mark went home. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} continued to see each other around school, had lunch together once or twice, and then both graduated from junior high school. They ended up {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the same high school {#blank#}10{#/blank#} they kept regular contacts over the years.

    The Han people have its own spoken and written language-Chinese. Chinese belongs to the Han-Tibetan language family. It is the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (common) used language in China and among the largest languages in the world.

    Written Chinese came out in {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (it) earliest form approximately 6,000 years ago. There are about 56,000 characters, of which only about 3,000 are in common use.

The term “Mandarin” can also refer to Standard Mandarin, which {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (base) on the Mandarin dialect spoken in Beijing. It is officially considered to be the standard for the People's Republic of China.

    Why do most non-Chinese speakers choose to learn standard Mandarin Chinese? Mandarin is understood by most Chinese people. As mentioned above, it is China's national language. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} you are interested in basic communication, scholarly research, or {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (pursue) a career in China, standard Mandarin is {#blank#}9{#/blank#} necessary tool for communication. And it often serves {#blank#}10{#/blank#} a bridge for communication.

    Last year, my brother and I went to Miami for a vacation. Some of my friends who had been there before said it was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} wonderful holiday destination. Before we went, we had planned for months. When the day came, we were ready.

    Since it was the first time we {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (be) there, we were pretty excited. After our plane landed, we went to the hotel. We had made {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (we) reservation(预定) six months earlier, but the man at the front desk said there had been a mistake. What made things even worse was {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the hotel had been fully booked. When we were wondering {#blank#}7{#/blank#}to do, the manager came out. She was very helpful. She apologized for the mistake and {#blank#}8{#/blank#}surprised me and my brother that she should give us a spare VIP room on the top floor. We had never stayed in such an amazing room, and we weren't charged extra.

    The next day, my brother and I went to the beach {#blank#}9{#/blank#} some people were playing volleyball. We got a little sunburnt, but the day had been so {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (relax) that we didn't mind.

    Many of you fail to seek your purpose in life. You dream and then follow it up with a list of reasons {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the dream is unachievable. You fill your life with different {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (excuse) and "I can't", which gradually leave your dreams {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (break).

    Many great companies came from a dream, were nurtured (培育) in a garage or basement and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (grow) to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Why not you? Why not your dream? The only true limits you experience in life are those you create or those you allow others {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (put) on you. If you can dream it, you can do it!

    Dreaming is the easy part while {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (act) on the dream is hard. Recognize that a dream is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} journey. On the simplest level, it takes time, desire, and courage. But rarely is something great {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (easy) realized. Dreaming is recognizing and believing the potential for greatness and seeking it in all areas of your life. Believe in your dreams and your ability to realize {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they). Keep your dreams {#blank#}10{#/blank#} front of you. Do not be afraid to dream. Never forget, if you can dream it, you can do it!
