Once there was a black and white cat. One day he was{#blank#}1{#/blank#} under a tree in the forest.

    When he walked up, he felt very {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . He wanted to have something to eat.

    He{#blank#}3{#/blank#}around. He looked up at the blue{#blank#}4{#/blank#} and looked down at the green plant. Something was moving in the {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . It was a sparrow(麻雀).

    He talked to the sparrow and asked it to be {#blank#}6{#/blank#} with him. When it came near, he caught the sparrow. He was going to eat it. The sparrow said, “No gentleman eats his  {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  till he has washed his face.”

    The cat was surprised（惊讶的）to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} that. He began to wash his face with his paw（爪子）, and the sparrow {#blank#}9{#/blank#} away.

    The cat was sorry to{#blank#}10{#/blank#} dinner and said, “As long as I live, I will eat first and wash my face later.”

    A few years ago, a little boy, not more than eight years old, went to the store himself.

    While he was going {#blank#}1{#/blank#} home, a dirty dog followed him. The dog was weak because it had a sore leg. After he found the dog was badly {#blank#}2{#/blank#}, he let it follow him home.

    The little boy's mother taught him to be {#blank#}3{#/blank#} and friendly. However, when the little boy asked his mother {#blank#}4{#/blank#} he would let the dog come into the house or not, she hesitated (犹豫)."We have no room for it," said she. The poor dog seemed to understand {#blank#}5{#/blank#} she said. It looked so sad! The little boy almost cried when he saw the dog's big {#blank#}6{#/blank#} looking up to him sadly.

    His mother was actually kind, too. She did not drive the poor hungry dog away, but let it {#blank#}7{#/blank#} in the yard. The little boy gave the dog some {#blank#}8{#/blank#}, water and clean dry grass to lie on. They also made it clean.

    After a few days the dog was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} with the help of the boy and his mother. It began to show how happy and thankful it was. Because {#blank#}10{#/blank#} their kindness, the dog finally found a home. It did what a dog could do to be a helpful family member.

    There are many interesting places there, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}the Olympic Park, the Geziwo Park and the Tiger Rock Park. In the Olympic Park, there are some athletes' statues (运动员的雕像) and champions' fingerprints (冠军的手印) and footprints. Everything in the park is about the Olympics. The Geziwo Park {#blank#}2{#/blank#}famous because it is one of the best places to watch the sunset (落日). Thousands of people go to watch the sunset every day. People can also see different kinds of birds. We {#blank#}3{#/blank#}ourselves in Beidaihe. After the trip, we are hoping for the next holiday.
