One day, a farmer took a bag of wheat（小麦） to town. He didn't know what to do when the bag fell off his horse. The bag was too heavy for him to lift. He hoped that someone would come and help him.

    Before long a man came over. But the farmer's heart sank when he saw the man, because he was the famous judge（法官） in town. The farmer was afraid to ask him for help.

    As soon as he came up to the farmer, the judge got off his horse and said, “You need my help, don't you? Let me help you，” Then he took one end of the bag, the farmer took the other. They lifted the bag of wheat onto the horse.

    “Sir” asked the farmer, “how can I pay you?”

    “Well,” the judge replied, “if you see anyone in need of help, do the same for him,”

    Mr. White lived in a house less than two miles from his office, so he could1 home for lunch every day. Every time he drove back home, 2cars were parked outside his house and there was no room for his car. He had to park his car somewhere else, and then walked back home. This made him very 3.

Today I turned eight. Today whatever I say goes.

Once, there was a big apple tree. A little boy loved to play around it. As time went by,{#blank#}1{#/blank#} little boy grew up. One day, the tree found the little boy sad while the boy  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(stand) in front of the house. "Come and play with me," the tree said. "I am not a child now," the boy answered. "I need some money {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(buy) toys." "I don't have money,{#blank#}4{#/blank#} you can pick all my apples and sell them." The boy picked all the apples on the tree and left {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (happy).

"I don't need much now, just a relaxing place for me to rest. I am tired," the boy answered.
