One day, I played basketball on the playground. Suddenly, I hurt my arms and legs. I was afraid. That was because it was painful(疼痛的). And I couldn't move my arms and legs. Then Miss Wang took me to see a doctor. In the hospital, my parents stayed by my bed and they were worried. A week later, I could walk slowly. But I still couldn't move my arms. I didn't want to give up(放弃). I wanted to drink water. I tried to move my arms to do it, but I broke the cup. My mom said, "Don't be sad. Everything will be fine." And she was right. My arms could move slowly in the next few days.  Now, I know difficulties(困难) are helpful and make me strong to face everything. And I should be careful when I do exercise.

"Miss Smith! Mary has rough hands!" says Daisy, as she walks with her teacher.

Miss Smith says: "In my eyes, Daisy, Mary's hands are very beautiful in our class."

"Why? Miss Smith, they are too red and hard. How can she play the piano with her hands?" Daisy asks. 

Miss Smith takes Daisy's hands and says, "Your hands are very soft and white. They look beautiful on a piano. But they are not as beautiful as Mary's hands. Let me tell you why."

"Yes, please. Miss Smith." Daisy looks at Miss Smith.

"Well, Daisy, Mary's hands are very busy. They wash dishes, they make fires, they wash clothes, too. They are always trying to help her hard-working mother."

Miss Smith says, "They wash and dress the children, they clean the toys and dress the dolls."

"They do good things to everyone. The hands help the homeless dogs in the street. They are always ready to help those who need help."

"Sorry, I shouldn't say that Mary's hands are ugly, Miss Smith." Daisy says that with tears in eyes.

"I am glad to hear you say that, Daisy. And I must tell you that they are beautiful because they help others a lot." Miss Smith says.
