Tea is enjoyed differently around the world, from how it's made and drunk to where it's enjoyed. According to the ways of making tea, tea is divided into white tea, black tea, green tea, etc. In Tibet, people often boil tea with salt and butter. Tea is drunk at home or in public places like tea houses.

Tea is a part of culture and connects to history, health, education, and communication. It's often included in social activities, like the British tradition of afternoon tea. Families or friends can communicate with each other while having afternoon tea.

Chinese people also use tea to make tasty dishes. Originally used as a medicine in ancient times, it is now not just a kind of drink, but also great seasonings（调味品）. Some delicious dishes made with tea are tea eggs and Dragon Well Tea Shrimp（虾）.

Before drinking tea, remember these tips:

• Drink tea while it's hot.

• The best time to drink is in between meals. It is bad for your stomach if you drink tea just before meals, during meals or soon after meals.

• Don't drink too much strong tea.

Liu Yaxuan is totally a homebody. Every weekend, this14-year-old student from Tsinghua High School watches popular TV dramas like The Journey of Flower(《花千骨》) and plays with her mobile phone. She hates playing outdoor sports. "It's too tiring," she said.

She is not alone. In recent years, more and more Chinese teenagers are becoming homebodies. A survey of kids aged 2 to 14 showed about 60 percent of them spend less than one hour doing outdoor activities every day. 

 This problem may have to do with heavy academic pressure(学业压力). Hu Huilan, 12, from Shenzhen Nanshan Language School, is busy with much homework and many after- school classes on weekends. "I don't want to get behind, " she said. 

 Even if this isn't a problem, kids still prefer indoor life. Wang Di, 12, from Anhui No. 50 Middle School, often reads Harry Potter, listens to music and surfs the Internet at home. "I can do so many things I like at home rather than hanging out in smoggy weather, " she said. 

 The situation for foreign students is quite different. Tina Smith, 15, from a high school in Toronto Canada, says her peers(同龄人) don't like staying indoors at all. " They spend their free time outdoors even if it just means going to the park or reading a book under the tree. Nice weather, little homework and rich outdoor activities enable us to do that, " she said. 

Third, listen to what your parents have to say. How can you e{#blank#}1{#/blank#} them to listen to you if you are not ready to listen to them? In addition, your parents were once young like you, so they understand your s{#blank#}2{#/blank#}better than you think.

Finally, if you do not get a s{#blank#}3{#/blank#}result, try not to get too angry. Talk with your parents and find out their reason. Part of growing up is learning to l{#blank#}4{#/blank#}with these kinds of d{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, and learning to understand another person's way of looking at things.

In China, the 12th month of the lunar calendar(阴历) is called Layue. The month is full of interesting festivals and customs.

Laba Festival, which is on the 8th day of Layue, is the first festival in this month. From this day on, people begin to get ready for the Chinese New Year.

On Laba Festival, people eat hot Laba porridge(腊八粥). There are usually eight things in the porridge: rice, red beans, peas, dried lotus seeds, dates, and three different kinds of fruits and nuts. The porridge is not just good for your health, but a blessing for the coming of the Chinese New Year.

Laba porridge is not the only tasty food in Layue. Laba garlic(腊八蒜) is popular in the north. People begin to soak(浸泡) the garlic in vinegar from that day on, and eat it with dumplings during the Chinese New Year. While in the south, people like making sausages(腊肠).

Another major celebration before the Spring Festival is Xiaonian. It is usually on the 23rd or 24th day of the last lunar month. Traditionally, it is an important day when people offer sacrifices to the Kitchen God who looks after the family.

Don't forget to clean your home. This is also an important thing to do to prepare for the Chinese New Year. It means sweeping away the dust of the old year and welcome in fresh start. Now, the last thing for you to do is to wait for the coming Spring Festival.

A stampede(蜂拥) is possible {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(在任何地方). The larger a human crowd gets, the more likely a stampede becomes. When students around you begin to push, stand {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(静止) and try to hold onto something. Or stay in a corner until the crowd go {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(离开). If you fall down in a moving crowd, cover your head with both hands. 

Playing sports has a lot of {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(乐趣), but don't get hurt. Before playing sports, the {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(合适) way is to warm up for 15 to 30 minutes.
