Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)（中药） is an important part of Chinese culture. TCM has a long history. The 1 medical classic in China, Huangdi's Classic on Medicine (黄帝内经), came out more than 2, 000 years ago. The book is about the2 between man and nature . In Chinese culture, yin and yang are the two parts of nature. Nature keeps balanced if yin and yang work3 together. The human body needs such a4 too. TCM helps to do that. 

Quite specially, for some health problems, a doctor of TCM does not give you medicine. 5 , he may give you just a good plan and right ways to eat. For example, it is common to eat6 the way to school, at our work desk, or in front of the TV. However, TCM thinks it 's7  Here are the correct ways: Sit down to eat. 

While eating, turn off the TV and8 from the work desk. Eat seasonal foods. Do not miss any of the three meals. Also, get your body9 often. Just as the saying goes, running water is never stale. So do exercise more often. 

    Nowadays, traditional Chinese medicine is becoming more and more 10 around the

world. A government report says people in 183 countries and areas are now using TCM. 

Cinyee Chiu, an artist from Taiwan, is always happy to try something new. Her amazing works won lots of prizes. Among them, "24 Solar Terms (节气)" is the most popular.

Ancient Chinese divided a year into 24 parts according to the changes of the weather. It's the 24 solar terms. But not everyone knows them well. Cinyee Chiu put the 24 solar terms in pictures to help people understand them better.

Cinyee turned each solar term into an animal. But these animals are not just animals. You can also find seasonal fruits, vegetables or beautiful flowers on them.

When spring comes, water gets warm and fish start to swim around. So Cinyee chose fish as a symbol of Start of Spring. Also, she drew spring vegetables, Chinese chives (韭菜) on the back of the fish.

White Dew (露珠) falls on about Sept. 8. It shows the beginning of the cool autumn. There are colorful leaves and cooler nights at this time of year. As the temperature falls, white dew is often seen on the grass and trees at night. For White Dew, Cinyee chose a raccoon (浣熊)—a small animal with thick hair. She drew white spots (小圆点) on the raccoon to show dew. And she used the dragon fruit to show the rich colors in autumn.

The young artist really gave the ancient Chinese culture a new look.

When you are too sick or tired to eat, would you enjoy a bowl of ramen? It wouldn't matter how good the ramen is any more-you wouldn't enjoy it anyway. 

If the boss decides to give you another bowl of the world's best ramen and lets you invite someone to eat for free. But you do not have any loved ones to invite-not even a close friend. Your feelings of loneliness will make the ramen tasteless as well. 

Ramen is like the expensive things that many of us think we want in life. Nice cars, expensive houses and beautiful clothes. They are nice to have, but we shouldn't forget that the most important things in life are our health and our loved ones. We must first take good care of our health and our loved ones before we worry about having nice things. 

Being rich is not always about having more money; it can also come from the heart. Having a rich heart is about finding inner (内心的) peace. Once you have made it, you will be thankful for what you have and be less worried about what you don't have. Or all the riches in the world will not be able to fill your heart. 

The next time you are enjoying a bowl of delicious ramen with a loved one or a close friend, think about how lucky you are. When life brings you difficult problems and challenges, remember that these same people are there for you to help you get past difficult times. 

Once, three fish lived in a pond. One evening, some fishermen passed by the pond and saw the fish. "This pond is full of fish," they told each other excitedly. "We have never fished here before. We must come back tomorrow morning with our nets and catch these fish!" So saying, the fishermen left.

When the eldest of the three fish heard this, he was afraid. He called the other fish together and said, "Did you hear what the fishermen said? We must leave this pond at once. The fishermen will return tomorrow and kill us all!"

The second of the three fish agreed. "You are right," he said. "We must leave the pond."

But the youngest of the three fish laughed. "You are worrying without reason," he said. "We have lived in this pond all our lives, and no fisherman has ever come here. Why should these men return? I'm not going anywhere—my luck will keep me safe."

The eldest of the three fish left the pond that evening with his entire family. The second fish saw the fishermen coming in the distance early next morning and left the pond at once with all his family. The third fish refused to leave even then.

The fishermen arrived and caught all the fish left in the pond, including the third fish's luck.
