Making your school a better place will make everyone around you happier and will get you more exited to go every day. Besides，a better place will also make you more productive（有效益的）. The following are some of the ways to make your school a better place. 

◆{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Do not stay silent when you see another student getting hurt by others. Speak up bravely and tell them to stop. This will help create a better atmosphere（气氛）at school. 

◆Try to deal with arguments between other kids. When you see other students in an argument，you can help deal with the problem. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}After all，many argument s in school are just misunderstandings between two people. 

◆{#blank#}3{#/blank#}If you know that other students have difficulty learning a subject that you're good at，you can help them by teaching them in that subject. Helping other students to improve their grades will help create a positive atmosphere in school. 

◆{#blank#}4{#/blank#}If you notice a student who doesn't have many friends or sits alone at lunch，make it a point to become their friend. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}So why not encourage other people to become friends with them？

In China, safety education is becoming more and more important now. The last Monday in March is for students to learn it at school. It helps students learn more about what they should do to keep themselves safe. What are the accidents at school? Take a look.

Stampedes(踩踏), earthquakes and fires are the main accidents at school.

A stampede always happens in crowded places. When students around you begin to push, just stand there and try to hold something. If you fall down in the crowd, move to one side and protect your head with your hands around.

When earthquake happen, you can get under a desk quickly and hold on. It will protect you from falling things. If you are outdoors, find a place away from buildings, trees and power lines.

When there's a fire, leave the classroom quickly. It's better to put something wet over your mouth and nose. In this way, you won't breath in smoke. Many people die in the fire, not because of the fire but smoke. It makes them cough and they can't breathe. That's very dangerous! So when you want to get out, you should make yourself close to the floor. Then you can breathe some fresh air.

It's no secret that there is a space problem in Manhattan. People build up higher and higher buildings because there isn't much land left and there is no room to build out. So people have been building lots of tall and thin buildings. Developers are trying to build higher and higher buildings. However, the government has made laws that don't allow developers to build too high buildings. 

Oiio Studio thinks about things differently, "What if our buildings were not tall but long?" So the founder of Oiio Studio, Ioannis Oikonomou, designed a U-shaped building, the Big Bend. It would be a very thin building. It would curve(弯曲) at the top and return to the ground. Oikonomou said he thought of the great idea because he learned from a piece of news. It said that a company made a lift that could travel in curves. So he designed the Big Bend. He thought it as "the longest building in the world". It would be 4, 000 feet from end to end and would need a different lift system. 

"We can't change the law, ▲____. So if we can bend( 使 弯 曲 ) our building, we would be able to build one of the most amazing buildings in Manhattan, "Oiio Studio said. 

The Big Bend is just an idea for now. Oikonomou has sent the plans to a few companies, and is looking for developers. If successful, they will build the Big Bend around West 57th Street, just to the south of Central Park.

The frog is named the goliath frog. It is the biggest frog on the earth. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} It lives only in rainforests in West Africa. Most types of frogs find shallow (浅的) pools of water where they will lay their eggs. But the goliath frogs use their powerful legs to dig their own holes. 

Did this squirrel fall into the paint? No! The Malabar giant squirrel is born with a beautiful fur coat, with colours of black, orange, brown, even purple and red. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} It seldom comes down to the ground as it's careful by nature. It can grow up to 90 cm long, bigger than the squirrels we usually see. 

What a cute spider! It looks a lot like the most famous Pokemon, Pikachu.  Only the females (雌性) look like Pikachu. Experts think they use their bright- yellow back to attract insects for them to eat. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} These spiders live in the eastern part of the US and in Central America.

 People have long believed in the positive effects of playing sports. However, is watching sports good for us too? To figure it out, a team of researchers from England did a study and found that sports viewing led to improved well-being. Watching popular sports like baseball has notable (明显的) effects on well-being. By saying well-being, we mean how well someone feels.

 The research has shown that people who watch sports experience greater well-being than those who don't, and that this probably has relationship with the social aspects(方向) of watching sports.

 Research carried out by a group at Anglia Ruskin University— led by Helen— used data(数据)from7,209 adults, aged 16-85, living in England who participated(参与) in the Taking Part Survey, a survey that has run since 2005.

 People in the UK who attended a live sporting event in the last year are more satisfied with their lives and are less lonely than people who have not.

 Can't support your team at the game? Watching sports on TV and online can also be good for your well-being. Research has shown that people who watch sports on TV or on the Internet are also less depressed than those who do not.

 Those who watch sports are more likely to report higher feelings of life satisfaction than people who don't, no matter they watch sports in-person, on TV, or online.
