I'm Rose, today is my first day at school. I am a new student. My father drives (开车) me to school in the car.

I have an orange schoolbag. In my schoolbag, I have five books, six notebooks and a pencil box. The pencil box and the schoolbag are the same (相同的) color. Three pens, four pencils, two erasers and a ruler are in my pencil box. And I have a lunch box. It is orange, too.

My classroom number is 402. It is big and tidy. There are 38 students in my class. But there are 39 desks and 39 chairs in the classroom. Why? The teacher also has a desk and a chair. The students' desks are brown. But the teacher's is yellow.

In recent years, more and more farmers in China have moved to cities to work. Many of them leave their children behind in villages. These children are called left- behind ones. In China, there are more than 60 million left-behind children. It is about a third of the children in the countryside and almost a quarter of the country's children. 40% of them are under age 5. 

Left- behind children often face more problems than others. Safety is a big problem. Many children are too young to look after themselves. It is even sadder that some left- behind children die from drowning(溺水) or traffic accidents. 

Another problem is about psychological(心理的) health. Left-behind children are hungry for love. A report says that more than 16% of them think parents don't love them and over 80% always feel not safe. They are usually oversensitive(过度敏感的), and don't get along with others. 

Their education is also serious. According to a research, about 20% of left- behind children think they are not as good as others. Many are not interested in studying at school. They often don't do the homework and go to school late. Some children even take part in criminal(犯罪的) activities. 

To make left- behind children live a happy and healthy life, our government as well as many people has done a lot. Every one of us should give a hand to them. 

As the most popular drink in the world (after water), tea is no stranger to us. But how much do you know about tea sets? Do you know that they have changed a lot over time? 

In general, tea sets become smaller and simpler after many changes throughout history. There are few records of tea sets before the Tang Dynasty. In Cha Jing (The Classic of Tea), a great book written by Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty, 28 kinds of tools used for making and drinking tea are mentioned. 

The tea sets in the Tang Dynasty were simple while the ones in the Song Dynasty were more gorgeous (华丽的). In the Song Dynasty, the competitive game based on tea drinking enjoyed great popularity. The tea bottle used in the game often had a big belly, a long neck, and a curved (弧形的) mouth, which could control the water better when filling a cup. Cups made of black glaze (黑釉) were especially loved by people then. The color matches the tea better and the thickness of the cup can help keep the tea warm. 

In the Ming and Qing dynasties, tea sets became simple again, and those made of gold and silver gradually disappeared. To test the color of the tea, white tea sets were more popular. In the Qing Dynasty, purple clay tea sets made in Yixing, Jiangsu flourished and were loved widely. It is said that tea made by Yixing's purple clay tea sets still tastes good after being kept in the teapot for one night even in hot summer. 

Hello, my name is Martha and I'm 13 years old. I 1 in a middle school near my home. I like my school because there is a big 2 and I can read many interesting books there. In our class there are twenty-seven students. Our classroom is large and 3 . Everything is in the right place. We put our 4 in the bookcases at the back. We 5 some pictures of famous people on the walls. There is a 6 on the front wall. It has a big screen. With its help, we can study well. My desk is 7 and my chair is yellow, too. My schoolbag is on it. Ms Reed is our class teacher and she teaches 8 . She is really 9 , and she often helps us study English after class. My good friend is Ella. We often help each other because she 10 next to me. We are seatmates.

What Jobs Are We Going to Need?

 People have to work. They need jobs. What fields have jobs? The most important thing is that we need to know what jobs {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(need) in the future?

 The medical field is going to need {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(work). In 2010, there were 524 million people over the age of 65 in the world. In 2050, the number of older people will be three times{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(big) than before. We need nurses and other medical workers to care for them. We also need family doctors. Family doctors have to work for many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(hour). Because of this, not very many medical students study to be family doctors. In addition, there are jobs for medical researchers. They do research and develop new medicine and technology {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(help) people. Businesses want to sell this medicine and technology to people {#blank#}6{#/blank#} need them.

 Another popular field is the computer field. It is a field with different kinds of jobs. Some people, like IT managers, help people in schools, hospitals, and companies {#blank#}7{#/blank#} they have computer problems. Other people design and create new technology. For example, 20 percent of people in the world have  {#blank#}8{#/blank#} smartphone. This is a phone that can do the same things computers do. More and more people {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(use) technology, so businesses are always designing newer computers and phones {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(quick).

 What do these jobs have in common? People need the help of these workers. This is why these fields are growing. When there is a need, there is a job.
