This is a symbol of good luck. Elephants{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(be) smart animals. They can play soccer or music. They can also{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(draw) very well. People say that "an elephant never{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(forget)". Elephants can walk for a long time and never get{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(lose). They can also remember places with food and water. This{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(help) them to live. But elephants are in great danger. People cut down many trees, so elephants{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(lose) their homes. People also kill elephants for their ivory. Today there are only about 3,000 elephants (over 100,000 before). We must save them and not buy things{#blank#}9{#/blank#}( make) of ivory. Let's{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(remember) that March 13th is Thai Elephant Day.

Did you know that the Beijing Winter Olympic Village had a rooftop (屋项) farm? It covered 4, 620 square meters. To relax, athletes and coaches could try growing vegetables there.

It shows just how much Chinese people love growing vegetables.

China has a lot of available land for planting things. For centuries, Chinese people made a living through farming. The Book of Songs(《诗经》), written 2, 500 years ago, records many kinds of vegetables.

Nowadays, even though some Chinese people no longer have a lot of land, they still grow vegetables where they can.

Xue Ling, 35, is one of them. Since 2010, she has been planting vegetables on the balcony (阳台) of her apartment in Jinan, Shandong province. "It's the only way to keep my food, at least the vegetables, clean and safe," she told China Daily.

Caroline Ma from Hong Kong grows vegetables as a hobby. In 2020, Ma started farming on her rooftop and began planting seeds collected during her trips. For Ma, farming is a great experience.

"I am in my own little world and I can forget about the world's problems," she said.

It seems that planting vegetables brings more than just food for Chinese people.

Soccer has truly become the world's sport. Much like the Olympics, it is a thing that brings nations together. People from all over the world are {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the World Cup. David Beckham is one of the players who are liked by people around the world.

However, soccer also causes {#blank#}2{#/blank#} . Many fights have been started at soccer matches. Clearly, soccer is important to a lot of people.

I have never {#blank#}3{#/blank#} soccer that closely. In America, it is not a very popular sport, but I used to play it when I was in {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. I always liked being the goal keeper, because I could wear a {#blank#}5{#/blank#} shirt! I was never a very good player, either. Maybe that is why I don't watch soccer matches that often! Although I am not a big soccer fan yet, I still appreciate (体会) its effect on the world and its importance in people's lives.

Everyone wants to have a good friend, and wants to keep friendship for long. Then what can we do to keep friendship for a long time? Friendship is like a seed (种子). If all the conditions (条件) are right and you really look after it well, then you'll have a strong plant. It will go on to grow bigger and better as time passes by. If it's what you want, keep the advice in mind. 

Spend time around people you'd like to be friends with, and join in with their plans. If you don't agree with their plans, say no in a friendly way, "I like that idea but maybe we could …"

 Be a good listener, so that others know that you're really interested in what they're saying. 

Get to know people well by sharing"safe (安全的)" ideas with them first. It might be something about TV shows or your favourite football team. It isn't always safe to tell someone very personal things about yourself, like things you might be worried about or afraid of. 

Be positive! Don't feel sad about something terrible, and you learn how to deal with sadness. Talk about the good things in your life. No one wants to be troubled by problems all the time. 

The most important thing is that you have to be a good friend if you want a good friend. 

People, especially children, like to go to Disneyland Park. There are six Disneyland Parks in the world.

{#blank#}1{#/blank#}. It is also the sixth one in the world. As for Chinese visitors, they probably want to go there most. The park brings people happiness and laugh, no matter how old you are. Children are able to meet many cartoon characters and play with them. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Old people can watch shows, take a walk and have a rest in the garden.

In the park, there are different kinds of interesting programs. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. During the daytime you can ride a much taller and longer roller coaster(过山车), go to the Sleeping Beauty Castle and so on. If you get to the park late, you can also have fun. In the evening, you can watch firework shows and some other shows. They are all fantastic.

However, the ticket here isn't very cheap. So don't go to the park on weekends or holidays. You can choose to come here on common days. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.
