Hi! My name is Peter. I am from Class 2. Here is a photo of my1  . This woman is my mother. She is an English. 2  . in our school. The students like her classes very much and she likes singing. The man is my father. 3  is a doctor(医生). I think my father is a hero (英雄) because he can. 4  a lot of people every day. Look at that girl. She is my little. 5  . And she is my uncle's daughter. She is a 6  . girl. Her books and tapes are in the bookcase. Her pens are in the pencil box. She likes 7  too. She wants to be a singer. Can you see the girl in white in the middle? That's me! White is my favorite 8  , I like pink and yellow, too. 9  . my cousin's favorite color is blue. Oh, . 10  is my cat Coco? It's sleeping under the chair. I have a happy family and I love it so much. 

It was Christmas Eve in 1971. Juliana Koepcke was 1 over the Peruvian rainforest with her family.

The plane started shaking heavily, and her mother 2 a flashing red light as she looked out the passenger window. She looked over to Juliana and said, "That's the 3 . It's all over." The plane started jumping up and down quickly before falling towards the 4 . A few moments later, Juliana found herself tied to her 5 , falling down.

The plane had broken into pieces two miles above the ground, which left Juliana falling 6 towards the ground. Luckily, the 7 rainforest broke her fall, reducing the falling force. Al-though she fell close to 10, 000 feet (about 3 km), she only had a broken collarbone(锁骨), deep cuts on her legs and arms, and injuries(受伤) in her knee.

Then came the 8 part-surviving(生存) the Amazon rainforest until she could find help. Maggots(蛆虫) made their way into the cuts on her body, and she was 9 to pick them out from her wounds one by one. The 10 was terrible as the maggots tried to get further into the wound. She 11 out about 30 maggots.

Ten days into her fight for survival, she could hardly 12 . She decided to float(漂浮) a-long the bank of a large river. Before long she saw a small boat moving towards her. The boat was full of local fishermen. They pulled Juliana out of the 13 before taking her to a local camp to provide first aid. Luckily, Juliana 14 making a full recovery(恢复) from her injuries.

Juliana's story tells us how 15 the human mind can be. Next time you want to give up on your goals, remember how much fight you really have left.

Who is the greatest teacher in Chinese history? You may think of Confucius (孔子). September 28th was his birthday. Although he lived over 2,000 years ago, people today still remember and 1 him.

Confucius lived in the Kingdom of Lu during the Spring and Autumn Period. He had  a 2 childhood. His father died when he was only 3, so he had to work to help his mother, but young Confucius never 3 studying. He visited many famous teachers and learned music, history, poetry and sports.

He was talented and learned 4 , so he started the first public school in China when he was thirty. At that time only children from 5 families could go to school, but Confucius believed everyone could go to school 6 they wanted to learn. He had about 3,000 students in his lifetime.

Today, people still study Confucius' lessons. He told us that we all have something worthy to be learned." When I am with three people, one of them must be 7 than me in some areas. I choose their good qualities and follow them." He also taught us that8 is very important in study." All study but no thinking makes people puzzled(困惑的). All thinking but no study makes people lazy."

Confucius is famous 9 his wise thoughts about the world and society. His most important teachings are about strictness and good 10 ."A person should be strict with himself, but be kind to others." He said.

I never thought about being a collector. But a few years ago all my friends had the hobby of 1 something. Some of them collected stones. Some collected dolls. Others collected postcards. 

I thought I should collect something, too. I wanted to collect something 2 because I didn't want to follow others. 3 . I decided to collect glasses from different places. When I went to a new place, I 4 one there. I thought this would make me think of all the places I visited.
